A Squeaky-Clean Heart ~

Lord, now that the year is over,
and a new one’s ready to start
I’m asking You to help me to . . .
squeaky-clean up my heart.

So, if You see there’s anything,
that needs to be corrected
let me know so I may repair
that which I have neglected.

Lord, I’m opening up to You,
my heart for Your scrutiny
so that mine with Yours
will peacefully be in unity.

I am willing for You to do,
all that You will need to
so my heart can reflect . . .
the image and life of You.

Lord, I am asking You to see,
where my spirit isn’t right . . .
so I may see it through the eyes
of Your life changing light!

Faith Unwavering ~

Lord, give me faith unshakable,
so I may walk faithfully
give me hope unfaltering
so I may tread gracefully.

Give me faith unwavering,
so I may remain steadfast
give me strength astounding
so temptation I may outlast.

Give me faith unquestionable,
so I may remain true
give me trust unflinching
so I’ll stay close to You.

Give me faith unending,
so I may trust in eternity
give me grace eternal
so I may die with certainty.

Lord, give me faith everlasting,
give me strength, give me power

A Clean Heart Created ~

When you ask God,
a clean heart to create
all of the hardness
will no longer dictate.

Instead it will turn,
into a heart of flesh
so that it’ll no longer
with evilness enmesh.

When you ask God,
to create a pure heart
from all sinful things
you’ll willingly depart.

Instead you’ll pursue,
all things that are just
because now it is God
whom you love and trust.

When a new heart,
in you God creates
a renewed spirit . . .
every day awaits!

A Fresh Clean Start ~

A fresh clean start,
new beginnings too
not just for today . . .
but, all year through.

Putting behind the past,
pressing into the goal
loving God with all . . .
your heart, mind and soul.

New beginnings,
a fresh new clean start
when Jesus becomes
the beat in your heart.

Letting Him change you,
from the inside out
pushing back your fears
giving Him your doubt.

A fresh clean start,
is waiting for you . . .
oh, the mighty things
in you God can do!

Out of Sync ~

Sometimes with God,
I feel out of sync . . .
it’s like there is some
kind of missing link.

It feels as though,
our wires are crossed
and my link to Him
is temporarily lost.

Sometimes with God,
there is a disconnect
its like our lines . . .
no longer intersect.

If feels as though,
we no longer interface
and my gateway to Him
is lost in cyberspace.

Sometimes with God,
I feel we don’t compute
so I go into His Word . . .
and generate a reboot!

A clean heart Lord,

create in us

one free of sin

evil and lust.

 

Free of worldliness,

free of selfish greed

free to see You are

everything we need.

 

A renewed Spirit Lord,

put into us

one that will always

in You put its trust.

 

Alert and resistant,

to the lies satan tells

one where Your own Spirit

abides and dwells.

 

A clean heart create,

a right spirit bestow

Lord in our lives

so Your will we may know!

Lord, touch me anew,
refresh my heart
upon my soul

Good morning Spring,
I’m so glad you’re here
with the sweet melodies
you sing into my ear.

I am so thankful,
for your sunny rays
for the fragrant blooms
you drift along my way.

I have missed you so
thank you for easing
winter’s every woe.

Thank you for leaving,
a carpet of warmness
for letting me soak up
your peaceful calmness.

Steadfast ~

Lord, keep me steadfast,
