Be Not Anxious For Anything ~

Be not anxious,
for anything . . .
instead pray about
all and everything.

For worry will get you,
no where at all
but, peace you will get
when on Jesus you call.

Be not troubled,
about whatever
for nothing on this earth
will last forever.

For sufficient is today,
are all the issues
so why let tomorrow
bring to you the blues.

Be not anxious,
instead be prayerful
about everything . .
so not to be careful!

I Can’t Control Tomorrow ~

I can’t control tomorrow,
I can barely do today . . .
that is why I give to Jesus
my cares all through the day.

For I need to be prudent,
with every given hour
so my mind can be filled
with His strength and power.

I can’t worry about tomorrow,
today has enough of its own
therefore I won’t let anxiety
in my thoughts make a home.

For I need to be cautious,
with what I let in my head
for God’s Word reassures me . . .
there’s nothing for me to dread.

I can’t control the evil,
nor the wicked things out there
but, I can control my thoughts
by being in constant prayer!

Taking It Easy and Slow ~

Today I am resting,
taking it easy and slow
for tomorrow . . .
may deal me a big blow.

So today I’ll relax,
decompress and unwind
for tomorrow . .
may be to me unkind.

Today I am recuperating,
from the wear and tear
for tomorrow . . .
may arrive like a bear.

So today I’m renewing,
both my heart and mind
for tomorrow . . .
could put me in a bind.

Today I am resting,
taking it slow and steady
so that tomorrow . . .
for anything I’ll be ready!

Facing Tomorrow ~

Today all is still and calm,
tomorrow may not be
for I can never know . . .
what’s in store for me.

It could be serene,
all might be tranquil
but, there’s no guarantee
tomorrow will be peaceful.

There is no crystal ball,
to predict the near future
no certainty tomorrow
will go any smoother.

When tomorrow comes,
I will not be fearful
in faith I will step out . . .
for the day I’ll be grateful.

Today all is still and calm,
tomorrow may not be . . .
but, whatever comes my way
I know Jesus will be with me!

On The Breeze of Serenity ~

Today the weather’s calm,
the skies are blue and clear
the wind is all but absent
I have not me a single fear.

The day looks promising,
the sun will be out to warm
by all present indications
I’ll not encounter a storm.

It’s a day for me to have,
some peaceful tranquility
a day for me to find rest
on the breeze of serenity.

I love days like these,
when everything is still . . .
it’s the perfect time to seek
to find for me, God’s will.

Tomorrow there may come,
a storm straight for me . . .
but, from today’s reflections
it will be Jesus whom I see!

Jesus Will See You Through ~

Though your mind is weary,
and your spirit is feeling small
though your load is heavy
and your tears are like a waterfall.

Though the trial before you,
looks like the tallest mountain peak
and the hardship you now must face
is making you feel faint and weak.

Though you cannot see the future,
nor do you know where it might lead
and you don’t have the resources
for everything that you need.

Though your mind can’t understand,
and your body has not the wherewithal
lift your soul to Jesus . . .
who will see you through it all!
