The Spirit of God ~
Spirit of God,
full of truth and love
brings His peace
on wings of a dove.
Sent from heaven,
as our Comforter
in times of need
our mighty Helper.
Spirit of God,
full of knowledge
to understanding
there’s no shortage.
Wisdom You bring,
to all who desire
strength You give
to all who inquire.
Spirit of God,
Jesus’ promise to us
may in You we put
all of our trust!
~~~~~~~
But the Comforter,
which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send
in my name, he shall teach
you all things, and bring
all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.
We All Need A Friend ~
We all need a friend,
to encourage us
we all need someone
who in God truly trusts.
We all need a partner,
with whom we can pray
someone who will help us
stay on the narrow way.
We all need a mentor,
in whom we can share
someone who understands
the weight of our care.
We all need a confidant,
to help our faith grow
someone who believes
God’s will we can know.
We all need a friend,
a faithful supporter
we all need God’s Spirit
to be our shock absorber!
The Comforter of My Soul ~
The Comforter of my soul,
never gets tired of my cares
He never gets fatigued by
my burdens that He bears.
He never turns me away,
when I go to Him for relief
the Comforter of my soul
understands all myย grief.
The Comforter of my soul,
always makes things better
taking on my heavy load
gives His heart pleasure.
He makes things easier,
when all else is difficult
the Comforter of my soul
is always there to consult.
The Comforter of my soul,
takes on my every care
tis why I give to Him . . .
all my anxieties to bear!
Holy Spirit Come Comfort Me ~
Holy Spirit,
come comfort me
give me faith
in what I can’t see.
Be my truth,
I need Your sight
Holy Spirit
be my guiding light.
Holy Spirit,
control my mind
direct me to where
Your peace I’ll find.
Be my shield,
show me the way
Holy Spirit
lead me how to pray.
Holy Spirit,
teach me toย trust
help me to see
You’re always just.
Reveal to me,
what is Your plan
govern me with
Your mighty hand.
Holy Spirit,
come comfort me
let me forever . . .
abide with Thee!
Unleashing God’s Power ~
When worry starts to flood,
like a windblown heavy rain
when you’re dispirited
by anxieties constant strain.
Turn to the Good News,
and as you begin to pray . . .
You will feel God releasing
His peace straight away.
When trouble begins to blow,
like a howling nor’easter
when you’re feeling downcast
in need of a warm comforter.
Turn at once to the Lord,
rush into His loving arms
knowing they’ll protect you
from everything that harms.
When grief overcomes,
like a crashing tidal wave
when you’re disheartened
drowning in a teary grave.
Turn to the Scriptures,
no matter what the hour
and with each tearful drop
let God, unleash His power!
The Path of Grief Unknown ~
I walk the path of grief,
in the valley of pain unknown
but Jesus is here with me . . .
so I don’t have to walk it alone.
The path has its ups and down,
the valley, its highs and lows
but Jesus is here with me . . .
in the midst of my sorrows.
The pathway of heartache,
isย paved with dread andย fear
but Jesus is here with me . . .
His grace is always near.
The days seem to creep along,
the nights are withoutย end
but Jesus is here with me . . .
my Comforter, my Friend.
I walkย the pathway of pain,
but I’m not walking it alone
for Jesus is here with me . . .
on the path, of grief unknown.
it’s about the Deliverer . . .
forgivingyour every sin.
It’s not about the burden,
or the weight of the load
it’s about the Comforter . . .
It not about the worries,
or the fears in your head
it’s about the Lord . . .
and being Holy Spirit led.
It’s not about the troubles,
or the difficulties that impede
it’s about the Savior . . .
knowing your every need.
It’s not about the storm,
or the seas that are raging
it’s about the Christ . . .
It’s not about the trials,
or the struggles in this life
