Rejoice Evermore ~

Rejoice evermore,
again I say rejoice
rejoice with a shout
or with a small wee voice.

Rejoice in suffering,
and in good times too
rejoice I say again
to every one of you.

Rejoice always,
with those who weep
rejoice with the rejoicers
let your joy always seep.

Rejoice in the morning,
and at the time of noon
rejoice until you see
the light of the moon.

Rejoice evermore,
in the Lord rejoice
for, every single day . . .
rejoicing is our choice!

I am Amazed ~

I fear God for one reason,
and it’s not that I’m afraid
I fear His mighty power . . .
for, it leaves me amazed.

I stare in astonishment,
at the works of His hand
how all came together
just by His command.

I worship Him and marvel,
as I gaze out into space
in awe I stand in wonder
of His mercy and His grace.

I tremble and I shake,
my understanding fails me
for, it’s hard to comprehend
all I can and cannot see.

I fear God for one reason,
but, it’s not that I am fearful
I fear Him because I know . . .
He is mightily powerful!

Still The Wise Seek Him ~

Still the wise seek Him,
they look to the Morning Star
they follow where He may lead
no matter how near or far.

They come to praise Him,
to worship and to adore
the wise still seek will Him
as the ones did from before.

The wise still offer Him,
gifts from their hearts
their faith, trust and hope
on Him they impart.

They hunger and thirst,
after His righteousness
they seek the Life and Way
with wholeheartedness.

Still the wise seek Him,
this Babe, the Child, their Savior
for they know He is God’s gift . . .
of His love, mercy and favor!

~~~~~~~~~
Matthew 2:9-10
“When they had heard
the king, they departed; and,
lo, the star, which they saw
in the east, went before them,
till it came and stood
over where the young child was.
When they saw the star,
they rejoiced with exceeding
great joy.”
To Be Glory Worthy ~
My life was made to praise You,
to lift You up with song . . .
my soul was made to worship You
to glorify You all the day long.
My mind was made to seek You,
to claim Your perfect peace
my heart was made to find You
so my love for You I’d release.
My ears were made to hear You,
Your quiet voice to listen for
my eyes were made to see You
waiting for me at the Door.
My feet were made to follow You,
to walk in Your very steps
my legs were made to pursue You
and obey Your righteous concepts.
My mouth was made to declare You,
as my Savior, Lord and King
my lips were made to confess You
and the joy You’re going to bring.
My life was made to please You,
to be glory worthy . . .
my soul was made to share
Your favor, grace and mercy!
This Amazing Grace ~
It’s a thing of beauty,
a thing of hope and love
it’s a thing of wonder
this grace from God above.
It’s a thing of strength,
when we’re feeling faint
it’s a thing of confidence
from sin our soul’s restraint.
It’s a thing we should seek,
something we must grow
it’s a thing for us to share
with every one we know.
It’s a thing of praise,
a thing to adore
it’s an amazing thing
a gift we can’t ignore.
This grace covers our past,
our today, our future
this grace we all need . . .
to cultivate and nurture!
But grow in grace,
and in the knowledge
of our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ. To him be
glory both now and
for ever. Amen.
Early Morning Praise ~
Early in the morning,
before the sun is ablaze
give a shout of pure joy
a song of heartfelt praise.
Make a sweet melody,
show God your gratitude
sing out your praises
with a joyful attitude.
Early in the morning,
as the sun begins to rise
remember God’s kindness
as He lightens up the skies.
Clap your hands together,
lift your arms in praise
give your day to the Lord
thanking Him for His ways.
While the dew is still set,
on the morning lawn
while the house is yet dark
before it becomes dawn.
Show your thankfulness,
to the Lord up above
lift up your heart-song
praising Him for His love.
When your day is finally over,
as the sun dims its blazing light
thank God for His faithfulness
all though the starry night!
in whatever you do
no matter your situation
Rejoice, Rejoice In the Lord ~
Rejoice, rejoice in the Lord,
be glad and shout out with joy
for He will uplift you . . .
and your doubts He’ll destroy.
For those who trust in the Lord,
haven’t anything to fear
because they know to them
He is always close and near.
Rejoice all who love the Lord,
with delight give Him your praise
His power and strength is yours
when the shield of faith you raise.
Stand up against the wicked one,
don’t believe in his lies
for God blesses all who trust
with a heart that is wise.
Rejoice, rejoice in the Lord,
and again I say rejoice . . .
lift up your jubilant praise
let God hear your joyous voice!
Father, How Can I Show My Gratitude ~
Father, how can I show my gratitude,
my gratefulness for all You’ve done
how can I show my thankfulness
for the eternal gift of Your Son?
What can I do to repay You,
for the kindness You’ve shown me
what can I give back to You
so my appreciation You can see?
How can I render my thanksgiving,
the sense of my true gratification
how can I ever prove to You
the full delight of my satisfaction?
Father, how can I show my gratitude,
my gratefulness for all You do
how can I show my thankfulness
if I am not always praising You?
I’ll Praise Him No Matter What ~
Lord, I’ll praise You in the quietness,
when my soul is at rest
I’ll praise You in the tranquil times
when I’m feeling oh, so blessed.
I’ll praise You while in the valley,
when my spirit is feeling low
I’ll praise You in darker times
when I’m not sure which way to go.
I’ll praise You from the mountain top,
when my heart with You is right
I’ll praise You for each victory
when I’m soaking in Your light.
I’ll praise You in the gusts that blow,
when my soul is tossed about
I’ll praise You in the stormy sea
when I am struggling with doubt.
Lord, I’ll praise You no matter what,
be it I am blessed or stressed
I will praise You regardless . . .
if  I am anxious or at rest!
Life’s Demands ~
Lord, sometimes I get exhausted,
with all of life’s demands
sometimes I get so tired
following everyone’s commands.
For, I would much rather,
just spend time alone with You
with my Bible and commentary
the only two things in view.
Lord, sometimes I get fatigued,
just thinking of all I’ve to do
sometimes I am overwhelmed
meeting time lines, coming due.
For, I would so much rather,
just sit and listen to . . .
praise and worship songs
about my love for You.
Lord, sometimes I get weary,
thinking about the day ahead
for, I would so much rather  . . .
just stay praying to You in bed!
Every Living Thing ~
One day the heavens,
will begin to sing . . .
their praises to God
along with every living thing.
One day every nation,
and all the people of
will worship their Creator
for His mercy, grace and  love.
One day all the sheep,
will jubilantly sing their praise
to God their Father
for the Son He did raise.
One day the meek and needy,
will stand with the strong
and sing their praises
to God all the day long.
One day everything,
moving or breathing . . .
to Jesus their Savior
will their praise sing !
New Songs of Joy ~
my-soul-sings-how-i-love-you_1024-500x500
New songs of joy,
to You, Lord I raise
songs of thanksgiving
worship and praise.
New songs of hope,
afresh and anew
songs of the love
I have Lord, for You.
New songs of faith,
dance in my head
whether I be up
or still in my bed.
New songs of trust,
to You, Lord I sing
gleefully I proclaim
You as my King.
New songs of joy,
Lord, to You I raise
for You are worthy
of my jubilant praise!
~~~~~~

Psalm 149. 1-5

” Praise ye the Lord.
Sing unto the Lord
a new song, and his
praise in the
congregation of saints.

Let Israel rejoice in him
that made him: let the
children of Zion be
joyful in their King.

Let them praise his name
in the dance: let them
sing praises unto him
with the timbrel and harp.

For the Lord taketh
pleasure in his people:
he will beautify
the meek with salvation.

Let the saints be joyful
in glory: let them
sing aloud upon their beds.”

Giving My Praise ~

worship1_bmp

I praise God in the good times,
I even praise Him in the bad
I praise God when I am happy
I even praise Him when I’m sad.

In and out of every season,
no matter the time of year
I praise my Savior for always
being close and ever near.

I praise the Lord when I rise,
I praise Him when I go to sleep
I praise Him in the valley low
I praise Him on the hillside steep.

In and out of every storm,
no matter the raging sea
I praise my Savior for always
being right there for me.

I praise my Father in heaven,
I praise His begotten Son
whether the day be cloudy
or brightly lit from the sun!

The Lyric’s of My Heart ~

The Lyric's of My Heart ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Lord . . .

With what words shall I compose,
the lyrics of my heart?
I hear them in my mind,
yet, I’m not sure where to start.

Shall I arrange them in perfect order,
from the time when we first met?
Or open with the refrain of the day,
You took upon Yourself, my debt?

Shall I begin with my appreciation,
with the gratitude I have for You?
Or, perhaps I should open with my love,
ah, yes ~ that is what I ought to do.

For, to capture from within my soul,
the melody of my full expression
I would have to come up with the tune
of how Your love left its true impression.

Oh, to know what I now understand,
and to see how my love  has grown
you would have to one day meet . . .
this Man I have loved and known.

For God loved the world so,
He gave to all His only begotten Son
and that is the greatest love song . . .
this heart can sing to anyone!

Joy in Suffering?

whatjoy ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ used with permission IBible Verses

How could there be joy in suffering,
what good can come from pain?
How can there be rejoicing,
when there’s only loss, and not gain?

How could there be thanksgiving,
what good can come from tribulation?
How can there be gratefulness,
when there’s only deep affliction?

How could there be praise,
what good can come from misery?
How can there be worship,
when there’s no longer liberty?

How could there be gladness,
what good can come from persecution?
How can there be happiness,
when there’s some facing execution?

How could there be joy in suffering,
what good can come from all this pain?
Ah, is it because we believe . . .
one day, Jesus will come to reign?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 Peter 1:6-7
“Wherein ye greatly rejoice,
though now for a season,
if need be, ye are in heaviness
through manifold temptations:
That the trial of your faith,
though it be tried with fire,
might be found unto praise
and honour and glory at the
appearing of Jesus Christ:”
Loss for Words ~
Lord, my words can barely,
come together
to collaborate
to rally up
and gather
worthy expressions
of my deepest desire for You.
For they seem weak,
feeble at best
frail and faint
limping and stumbling
on themselves
to adequately convey
what You mean to me.
Words get caught,
in my throat
choking me up
they can not sufficiently
articulate
communicate
demonstrate
my love for You!
Another Year is Here!
All things New by Michael McFatridge free photo #11721
Another year has come,
and there she goes again
all of my new resolutions
I once more didn’t obtain.
As I look over my list,
I feel as if I failed . . .
so many good intentions
but, on them I truly bailed.
Who would have thought,
that only a year ago . . .
I believed I would have
so much more to show.
Well, that is it for me,
there’ll be no more list
this old one I’m holding
I’m crumbling in my fist.
This year my resolution,
will be only one thing . . .
each day I will praise my Lord
and bring glory to my King.
Yep, another year is gone,
and here she comes again
but this year’s declaration
my heart is fixen to attain!
~~~~~~~~~~

Psalm 145:1-3
King James Version

“I will extol thee, my God, O king;
and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

Every day will I bless thee;
and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
and his greatness is unsearchable.”

Like Wise Men ~

Star used with permission Creation Swap

This Christmas . . .

Let us be as the Wise Men,
who came from afar . . .
let us each search for God
right here where we are.

He’ll lead us with His Word,
His Spirit will show the way
just as the star led the Wise Men
to baby Jesus Christmas day.

Let’s give our hearts to Jesus,
like Wise Men offer up our praise
as we worship and adore Him
let our treasures to Him be raised.

Let’s surrender to Him our life,
give Jesus everything we hold
our worldly sacrifices to Him
are more precious than any gold.

Let’s bring to Him our prayers,
our hopes, plans and dreams
let the aroma of frankincense
rise up to the King who redeems.

Let’s give Him all our pain,
heartache, grief and suffering
let the fragrance of  myrrh
be our thankful offering.

Let us be as the Wise Men,
who came from afar . . .
let us give unto Jesus
all we have ~ all we are!

~~~~~~
Matthew 2:10-11
“When they saw the star,
they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
And when they were come
into the house, they saw the young child
with Mary his mother, and fell down,
and worshipped him:
and when they had opened their treasures,
they presented unto him gifts;
gold, and frankincense and myrrh.
They come to praise Him,
The wise still offer Him,
gifts from their hearts
faith, trust and hope
on Him they impart.
They hunger and thirst,
for they know He is God’s gift
Sing to Me Lord, Jesus ~
Sint To Me Lord Jesus ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Today is a new day,
yesterday is gone
tomorrow He promises
He’ll bring a new song.
Sing to me Lord Jesus,
sing to my soul
songs that enlighten
songs which console.
Sing of Your coming,
sweet music to my ears
sing of forgiveness
the drying of tears.
Sing, oh my Lord Jesus,
songs that will save
sing about the new life
You so lovingly gave.
~~~

Sing with the Lord Jesus,
the song of His love
sing of His compassion
flowing down from above.

Lift up your voices,
be a voice in His choir
sing until every lost soul
burns with heaven’s desire.

Lift up your voices,
rise up and sing . . .
rejoice in the new song
He’s coming to bring!

~~~
Psalm 33:3
King James Version
“Sing unto him a new song;
play skilfully with a loud noise.”
Things ~
Don't lose sight used with permission IBible Verses
Things, we all possess them,
most of them have a hold on us
demanding all of our attention
oh, how over them we love to fuss.
Things, cluttering up our lives,
stuffed away in crammed drawers
lying out in the open spaces
locked away behind closed doors.
Things, keeping us so very busy,
taking us here and there
requiring all our leisure moments
leaving no time for God to spare.
Things, the need for this and that,
longing after the newest toy
always needing to upgrade
oh, how they give us so much joy.
Things, we gotta have them all,
tucking them deep inside our heart
playing with them in our minds
keeping us from God far apart.
Things, we all have lots of them,
taking the place of our Bibles
oh, how we worship them . . .
but to God they’re all idols!
1 John 5:21
King James Version
“Little children, keep yourselves from
idols. Amen.”
How Can I Show My Gratitude?
Father, how can I show my gratitude,
my gratefulness for all You’ve done
how can I show my thankfulness
for the eternal gift of Your Son?
What can I do to repay You,
for the kindness You’ve given me
what can I give back to You
so my appreciation You can see?
How can I render my thanksgiving,
the sense of my true gratification
how can I ever prove to You
the full delight of my satisfaction?
Father, how can I show my gratitude,
my gratefulness for all You do
how can I show my thankfulness
if I am not always praising You?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Psalm 42:4
King James Version

“When I remember these things, I pour out my
soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude,
I went with them to the house of God, with
the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude
that kept holyday.”
