I Rejoice In Hope ~

I rejoice in hope,
patient when need be
I pray and I pray . .
for things I can’t see.

I am still as I wait,
for God to answer me
for I know anxious . . .
is something not to be.

I get renewed,
each new day I live
I can count on God
His strength to give.

I grow not weary,
for I have eagle wings
to mount and rise
above difficult things.

I rejoice in hope,
I am anxious for not
I put my trust in God . . .
so not to be distraught!

Grow Not Weary ~

Grow not weary,
do not tire out
give not in to . . .
your fear or doubt.

For what God started,
it will be done
a promise He made
to you through His Son.

Grow not fainthearted,
be not frail or weak
give God your burden
and His strength seek.

For what wears on you,
needn’t weigh you down
for the hope Jesus brings
will cause joy to abound.

Grow not weary,
let your heart not be faint
give God all your worries
and Jesus your complaint!

Do not grow weary,
of the good things you do
for God will provide
plenty of energy for you.

He’ll give you endurance,
all you need to do is ask
and He’ll give the stamina
to complete the task.

do it for God eagerly
and He’ll give you the zest
to serve Him whole heartily.

He’ll give you His strength,
to do the things you must
for the harvest is His . . .
all you have to do is trust.

Seasons Of Fainting ~

Sometimes we go through,
seasons of fainting . . .
when worldly catastrophes
leave us anxiously panting.

For all around us we see,
disorder of every kind
messing with the peace
in our heart and mind.

Sometimes we go through,
seasons of weariness . . .
when earthly calamities
fill us with restlessness.

For every where we turn,
we see the destruction
that evilness brings
when under its seduction.

Sometimes we go through,
seasons of trepidation . . .
but we who believe in Jesus
are free of apprehension!

Fortitude ~

Sometimes my eagle wings,
get fatigued and weary . . .
especially when this world
seems so grim and dreary.

But I know I will not faint,
nor give up the flight
as long as God remains
my strength and guiding light.

Sometimes my eagles wings,
get tattered and ripped
especially when my freedoms
from me are being stripped.

But I’m determined to fly,
against the resistance
for I know to endure I need
the wings of persistence.

Daily my eagles wings,
need to be renewed . . .
so I pray to the Lord
give me the fortitude!

Once Again Reborn ~

Today,  I was feeling,
quite weary and down
I needed something
to turn my thoughts around.

So, I took out my Bible,
and I began to read
God’s every promise
to supply all I need.

Today, I was thinking,
I needed a faith lift
for mine seem to be
in some kind of drift.

So, I read the Scriptures,
about Jesus in the storm
and soon my every thought
He began to transform.

Today I was feeling,
spiritually forlorn . . .
but, as I read the Good News
I felt once again reborn!

Waiting ~

Lord, You have given me,
these mighty eagles wings
said they’d give me strength
in the problems life brings.

You said for me to wait,
for Your Son to return
until such time to give
You all of my concern.

You said there would be,
no weariness or fatigue
to wait until the day
the crown of life I’ll receive.

You said I would walk,
without ever fainting
to focus on the future hope
You have for me awaiting.

Life’s Demands ~

Lord, sometimes I get exhausted,
with all of life’s demands
sometimes I get so tired
following everyone’s commands.

For, I would much rather,
just spend time alone with You
with my Bible and commentary
the only two things in view.

Lord, sometimes I get fatigued,
just thinking of all I’ve to do
sometimes I am overwhelmed
meeting time lines, coming due.

For, I would so much rather,
just sit and listen to . . .
praise and worship songs
about my love for You.

Lord, sometimes I get weary,
thinking about the day ahead
for, I would so much rather  . . .
just stay praying to You in bed!

God Never Gets Weary ~

Are you feeling fatigued,
by your weariness
are you exhausted
and feeling listless?

Then wait on the Lord,
your energy He’ll renew
for He never gets tired
of strengthening you.

Do you need recharging,
a shot of endurance
do you need fortitude
some extra assurance?

Then wait on the Lord,
faint He does not
He never gets worn-out
when His power is sought

Are you growing weary,
is your faith getting slack?
Then wait on the Lord . . .
for the strength you lack!

Guarding Your Heart and Mind ~

Whatever has you sleepless,
whatever keeps you awake
whatever makes you feel
your heart’s about to break.

Give it all to Jesus,
in your thankful prayer
and He will lift you from
your grief and despair.

Whatever is your worry,
whatever may be your care
whatever is that burden
that you must daily bear.

Give them all to Jesus,
let Him have everything
then your soul will find
rest that is everlasting.

Whatever has you weary,
whatever causes you stress
whatever makes you feel
hopeless and depress.

Give it all to Jesus,
let Him guard your mind
then your heart He will still
and His peace you will find.

Whatever has you anxious,
take it to Jesus in prayer
then release all your fears
and leave them in His care!

At Your Feet ~

Lord, some days I get so tired,
I feel as if I’m beat
and so all my weariness
I place right at Your feet.

As soon as I release,
my troubles into Your care
I no longer feel as if . . .
their mine alone to bear.

When my days are hard,
and my nights are long
its You whom I count on
to help me to be strong.

As soon as I turn over,
all of my worries to You
there is not a single thing
I feel we cannot do.

When I look for comfort,
to ease my weary mind
Lord, I know at Your feet
peace and rest I will find!

You’ve Got A Friend ~

When feeling heavy-laden,
when your trouble’s abound
this one thing is for sure . . .
there’s always a Friend around.

When burdened with a load,
when worry takes a major toll
this one thing is for sure . . .
a Friend is waiting to console.

When feeling weak and puny,
when weariness makes you blue
this one thing is for sure . . .
you’ve got a Friend next to you.

When life has got you down,
when no one seems to care
this one thing is for sure . . .
there’s a Friend who is aware.

When feeling heavy-laden,
when there seems to be no end
this one thing is for sure . . .
in Jesus, you have a True Friend!

Our Worldly Home ~

In this, our worldly home,
there is misery and pain
we toil and we labor . . .
but, it’s all done in vain.

We fight off the weariness,
from being disillusioned
we try not to faint under
the constant confusion.

All of our grueling work,
never seems to pay off
at times at our own selves
we can’t help but to scoff.

We still have hunger pangs,
our thirst is never satisfied
all our disappointments
are eternally magnified.

We feel the throb of sorrow,
we know the sting of grief
from sickness and death
we know there’s no relief.

In this, our worldly home,
the curse of sin always reigns
but, in our heavenly home . . .
nothing will cause us any pain!
