~ Be Thou Faithful ~

Be thou faithful,
be ever patient
God is working
for your benefit.
For your times,
are in His hands
so be still and wait
till you know His plans.
Be thou hopeful,
be also trusting
God is working
in you something.
For your life,
is in His hold
so be at peace
as you He molds.
Be thou faithful,
be trustworthy too
while God is doing . . .
something new in you!
~~~~~~~~~~
For it is God which worketh
in you both to will and to do
of his good pleasure.
~ to GOD be the GLORY ~
Eternally Grateful ~
Oh, Lord when I mediate,
on Your tender mercy . . .
my heart for You becomes
ever-more thirsty.
I want to drink in,
all of Yourย compassion . . .
I want to bottle up
each dropย of Yourย passion.
Oh, Lord when I ponder,
on Your abundant grace . . .
I cannot, but help to fall
downย on my thankfulย face.
Not out of shame,
but, out of respect and fear
for, Your eternal loveย for me
makes my eyes well and tear.
Oh, Lord when I concentrate,
on Your faithfulness . . .
my hearts swells for you
with eternal gratefulness!
Psalm 100:4-5
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting;
ย and his truth endureth to all generations.
Shine on me Lord Jesus,
shine on me Your grace
let the joy I found in You
radiant off my grateful face.
Shine on me Yourย love,
Your mercies ever tender
shine on me Your goodness
till I glow in Your splendor.
Shine on me Lord Jesus,
shine on me Your faithfulness
let the love I have for You
beam of my thankfulness.
Shine on me Your glory,
all Your wonderfulness
shine on me Your brilliance
till I emit Your excellence!
The Love of God ~
May you know the love of God,
in all of its glory and fullness
may you uncover its very depth
and the meaning of His richness.
May you discover the love of God,
in all of its purity and loveliness
may you perceive its very height
and be filled with His faithfulness.
May you sense the love of God,
in all of its peace and kindness
may you feel its very breadth
and be calmed by His tenderness.
May you discern the love of God,
in all of its grace and gentleness
may you detect its very length
and behold all of His mercifulness.
May you love the Lord, your God,
with all of your heart and soul
may you come to Him right now
and let Him make your life whole!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ephesians 3:17-19
King James Version
“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;
that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
May be able to comprehend with all saints
what is the breadth, and length, and depth,
and height; And to know the love of Christ,
which passeth knowledge, that ye might be
filled with all the fulness of God.”

A Pink-Lemonade Sky ~
Give me the sun on the horizon,
a pink-lemonade sky above . . .
give me a partly cloudy day
and I’ll tell you why Jesus I love.
Give me the shade of the elm,
the Good Book for me to read
give me something cool to drink
and Iโll have close to all I need.
Give me the creekโs soft humming,
chirps coming from a motherโs nest
give me the green grass to lay in
well ~ you can picture the rest.
Give me a Scriptureย to mediate on,
a soft breeze blowing across my face
give me a day dwelling upon
God’s amazing, wonderful grace.
Give me the aromas of a barbecue,
my momโs homemade apple pie
give me laughter around an open fire
the warm sounds of a summerโs sigh.
Give me a day in the radiant Son shine,
so I can reflect on Godโs perfect love
give me a day to spend basking . . .
in the goodness that comes from above!

” Finally, brethren,
whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of
good report; if there be
any virtue, and if there be
any praise, think on these things.”

A Shout of Joy~
Early in the morning,
before the sun is ablaze
give a shout of pure joy
a song of heartfelt praise.
Make a sweet melody,
and show your gratitude
sing out your praises
with a joyful attitude.
Early in the morning,
before the sun begins to rise
remember His loving-kindness
under the darken skies.
Clap your hands together,
lift your arms up in praise
give your day to the Lord
thank Him for His ways.
While the dew is still set,
on the morning lawn
while the house is dark
before there is a new dawn.
Show your thankfulness,
to the Lord up above
lift up your heart-song
and praise Him for His love.
When your day is finally over,
and the sun dims its blazing light
thank God for His faithfulness
all though the starry night!

Psalm 92:1-2
King James Version
“It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
and to sing praises to Your name, O Most
High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the
morning, and Your faithfulness every night.”

The Fruit of My Lips ~
May the fruit of my lips,
produce many a praise
to God for His faithfulness
and His wondrous ways.
May my lips create music,
generate songs to sing
making a joyful noise
honoring my eternal King.
May the fruit of my lips,
deliver my thankfulness
with hearty hallelujahs
showing my gratefulness.
May my lips dance about,
jump with joy and delight
expressing to the world
hope found in His light.
May the fruit of my lips,
produce many a praise
may my gratitude to God
I forever raise!

and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.”

I Wonder!
Sometimes I have to wonder,
if God wears a big old frown
if He mumbles and grumbles
as He drives from town to town.
If He wakes up drained and tired,
if He complains throughout the day
if He gets perturbed and frustrated
when things donโt go His way.
I wonder if He gets angry,
if He gets just plain annoyed
if He is more than a little agitated
and He feels a joyless, hopeless void.
If He needs His own space,
if He wants to be left all alone
If He wishes no one would visit Him
or call Him on the phone.
I only wonder these things . . .
because as His child ~ I should be
an imitator of His love . . .
but thatโs not what others always see!

In This Changing World ~
Lord, in this changing world,
where nothing stays the same
I found You to be faithful
when I call upon Your name.
Every day there’s so much,
that is being compromised
but, Your unfailing love
You have never modified.
No matter where I go,
I find things a bit strange
but, Your steadfast love
never seems to change.
So many people now,
are ย making concessions
but, Your trustworthiness
I never have to question.
Lord, in this changing world,
that’s spinning out of control
I find Your faithfulness . . .
to be the anchor for my soul!

Trust ~ Delight ~ Commit
Trust in the Lord and do good,
do what you know you should
give to Him your every need
then on His faithfulness feed.
Delight yourself in the Lord,
the crown of life is your award
your heart desires He’ll grant
for He’s the God of can’s not cant’s.
Commit your ways to the Lord,
eternal life will be your reward
go to Him each day in prayer
and give to Him your every care.
Rest in the Lord and wait,
He will not let you faint
be not anxious or worried
for, God is not to be hurried.
Trust in the Lord and commit,
in His Word stay well and fit
rest in the truth and be still
and delight in doing His will!

Psalm 37:3-4
King James Version
“Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land,
and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee the
desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in him;
and he shall bring it to pass.

The Fullness of God ~
He isnโt the God,
of the have or have notโs
He is the God . . .
for all of our needs and wants.
He isnโt the God,
of the half-full, half-empty
He is the God . . .
who has for each one plenty.
He isnโt the God,
of only the poor in spirit
He is the God . . .
for every soul to inherit.
He isnโt the God,
of only the one who fears
He is the God . . .
who sees everyoneโs tears.
He isnโt the God,
of only the meek and poor
He is the God . . .
knocking on every heartโs door.
He isnโt the God,
of only the deaf or mute
He is the God . . .
that is absolute.
He isnโt the God,
made up of iron or stone
He is the God . . .
who sits on heavenโs throne!

This Is It ~
This is it,
this is what life is about
and in my heart . . .
there is not any doubt.
This is it,
this is all that I desire
and in my soul . . .
true love I did acquire.
This is it,
this is what hope feels like
and in my spirit . . .
faith and trust are alike.
This is it,
this is peace forever more
and in my mind . . .
this is what I was born for.
This is it,
this is what life is about
and with Jesus as my Lord
what is there to doubt?
