On The Keyboard of My Soul ~

If I could tune the keys,
of my soul and heart
on each ivory my praise
to God I would impart.

I would run my fingers,
across the keyboard
and sing my hallelujahs
to my Savior and my Lord.

If I could adjust the strings,
of my mind and spirit
the tension would release
to God a grateful lyric.

I would push the pedal down,
on His undying love for me
and sing about the hope
upon each ebony key.

If I could tune the keys,
and adjust my heart strings
on the keyboard of my soul
my ongoing praise I’d sing!

and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody in your
heart to the Lord;

The Beauty of Salvation ~

May the beauty of your salvation,
cause you to be jubilant
may the wonder of it all
make and keep you exuberant.

May the greatness of God’s mercy,
bow your grateful, thankful knees
may the vastness of His love
your whole heart, happily seize.

May the grandeur of your hope,
make you permanently indebted
may the elation that you feel
forever in your soul be embedded.

May the splendor of Jesus’ grace,
always keep you humble and meek
may your gleeful gratitude
be in every word you speak.

May the beauty of your salvation,
bring to you God’s eternal peace
may your delighted exuberance
to Him you jubilantly release!

For the Lord taketh pleasure
in his people: he will beautify
the meek with salvation.

Thank God It’s Good Friday ~

I thank God,
it’s Good Friday
I’m so grateful
for this one day.

For my Savior,
endured for me
the pain, the shame
to set me free.

I thank God,
for Jesus dying breath
for it saved me
from eternal death.

For my sins,
on the cross He bore
so I could have life
with Him forever more.

I thank God,
it’s Good Friday
for Jesus is to Him . . .
the only pathway!

1 Peter 2:24

“Who his own self bare our sins
in his own body on the tree,
that we, being dead to sins,
should live unto righteousness:
by whose stripes ye were healed.”

Beyond Thanksgiving’s Dinner ~

Lord, give me gratitude,
sustaining and stable
not just for the yummy food
on today’s Thanksgiving table.

Let me give my thanks,
for all of Your blessings
not just for the yams
and corn bread dressing.

Let me be thankful,
to You for all things
not just for my favorite
crispy turkey wings.

Let me be grateful,
for all You have given
not just for the silver
and fancy table linen.

Lord, let me be appreciative,
for the bounty on my plate
not just for tonight’s dinner
but for each new one I’ll create!

Psalm 106:1

“Praise ye the Lord.
O give thanks unto the Lord;
for he is good:
for his mercy endureth
for ever.”
