Get Right With God ~

If you want to get,
with God right . . .
you’ll need with sin
to put up a fight.

For your wickedness,
will keep you apart
unless you turn over
to God your heart.

If you want to be,
for your sins forgiven
the life you now live
you need to stop liven.

For the evil things,
that you now do
can no longer be
a part of you.

If with God you want,
to get things right
ask Jesus in your heart

One Step Forward ~

Sometimes all I can put,
is just one foot forward . . .
for it is all I can do
to keep moving onward.

For I know that I need,
to be diligent and patient
though I am overwhelmed
by today’s environment.

for it is all I can make

so that fear’s fingers

Evil Everywhere ~

I can see the evil,
I see it everywhere
there is not a place
it will not spare.

It is universal,
throughout the world
a new kind of hatred
is being unfurled.

I can hear the terror,
chilling and disturbing
it’s full of violence
bloody screams curdling.

It’s a perilous scourge,
of dread, anxiety and fear
bringing with it tyranny
the closer it draws near.

I can see the evil,
I can hear it’s gasp
tis why onto Jesus . . .
I keep a firm clasp!

Growing Trust ~

My trust in God,
just keeps growing
as into the unknown
each day I keep going.

For what I’m seeing,
in the world today
should leave me reeling
in disgust and dismay.

My trust in God,
just keeps evolving
with all in the world
that is transforming.

For what I’m hearing,
should fill me with fear
instead it draws me
to Him more ever near.

My trust in God,
just keeps on growing
the more evil I see . . .
lurking and roaming!

Earthy Battles ~

Earthy battles,
we all have to fight
in the light of day
or the dark of night.

But we who believe,
have a battle plan
for we know victory
is in God’s hand.

Spiritual warfare,
raging out of control
desirous of our hearts
anxious for our souls.

But we who are strong,
keep on in God trusting
for we know the powers
of those we’re wrestling.

Areas of hostility,
in places high and low
wanting to oppose us
wherever we might go.

But we who have faith,
have a solid stronghold
for onto our Rock . . .
we have a firm foothold!

God’s searching glance,
never ceases . . .
over all the universe
it stretches and reaches.

There is no secret place,
that He can’t see into
no screen or cover
He can’t look through.

God’s searching gaze,
is penetrating . . .
thoughts and intentions
He’s always calculating.

He scans the whole world,
all day and all night
watches the good fight evil
right before His sight.

God’s searching glance,
constantly looks to find . . .
all those who trust Him
with a whole heart and mind!

God Gazes From Above ~

God gazes from above,
He’s looking to find
those searching for Him
with all their heart and mind.

He sees not a one,
not one who is seeking
all have turned aside
no one for Him is looking.

God looks to the East,
their souls to Him are idle
He scans to the West
they are their own idols.

He looks to the South,
no – not even one
He looks to the North
their hearts He has none.

God looks and He looks,
all across the seas . . .
but love for the Lord
isn’t in the hearts of these!

The Spiritually Poor ~

The ungodly,
are spiritually poor
the lack the faith
to open the Door.

They have not any,
true understanding
the Truth to them
is not damning.

The ungodly,
have blinded eyes
the can’t see
through satan’s lies.

They’ve no wisdom,
of the Light
for the darkness
stole their sight.

The ungodly,
live in poverty
the Life to them
is a mockery.

The Way to them,

When You Walk in The Light ~

There’s a lot of temptation,
that we must daily fight
there is a lot of confessing
when you walk in the light.

There’s a lot of acknowledging,
the sinfulness we daily fight
there is a lot of repenting
when you walk in the light.

There’s a lot of recognizing,
the evil we daily fight
there is a lot of conviction
when you walk in the light.

There’s a lot of fessing up.
to  the vices we daily fight
there is a lot to let go of
when you walk in the light.

that we must daily fight
there is true repentance
when you walk in the light!

he leaps out of nowhere
so our thoughts he can steal.

He is quick and oh, so sly,

he tells us bold face lies

he is the stumbling block
on the righteous way.

I Hate the Devil ~

In case you don’t know,
I really hate the devil . . .
he’s poison, he’s toxic
he’s deadly and full of evil.

He’s wicked, He’s a liar,
he’s a murderer, he’s a thief
all he brings into our lives
is torment, pain and grief.

I just can’t stand him,
he makes my stomach churn
for I know there are many
with him, in hades who’ll burn.

He’s wretched, he’s vile,
destruction is all he brings
he taunts, he tempts us
with useless worldly things.

I really hate the devil,
in case you cannot tell . . .
and I wish he was already
burning up in hell!

Desensitized ~

Lord, when I look around,
it’s not hard for me to find
those who reject You
in their hearts and their minds.

They live for the moment,

when they’ll stand before You

They follow their own desires,

their freedoms and their rights
but don’t want their sin exposed.

There’s so much wickedness,
I am no longer shock to see

releases the binds of guilt

Be watchful of the Wicked One,

for he is the Grand Old Liar

our Adversary, the Father of Lies

Be on the alert for the Anti Christ,

What is this wild thing,
that my mouth has inside
what causes it to lash about
in its smugness and its pride?

How can it sing praises to God,
then chant ~ its curses to man
what is this wild thing . . .
that says whatever it thinks it can?

What causes it to be so untamed,
without a bridle or a rein
what can I do to control this thing
that has its own heart and brain?

Why does it speak such evil,
and at times act out so bad
what is this wild thing . . .
that gets so angry and mad?

Who can restrain this unruly thing,
that is filled with poison and fire
who can tame this beastly thing
that’s filled with worldly desire?
