There’s a war going on,
between God’s Kingdom
and the evil forces trying
to take away our freedom.
It’s a conflict of dominance,
of making good out of evil
fought by those who openly
want to make sinfulness legal.
The powers from up high,
are out to destroy you
by making you do and say
things you do not want to.
The battleground is dark,
to the mind dangerous
the arena is hyper-political
to the soul treacherous.
There’s a war going on,
the consequences are dire
it’s a choice of eternal life . . .
or one filled with hell’s fire!

Romans 13:12-14
The night is far spent,
the day is at hand:
let us therefore cast off
the works of darkness,
and let us put on the
armour of light.
Let us walk honestly,
as in the day;
not in rioting and
drunkenness,
not in chambering and
wantonness,
not in strife and envying.
But put ye on the
Lord Jesus Christ,
and make not provision
for the flesh,
to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Jesus came to free us,
free us from all fear
He came with a promise . . .
to be always to us near.
He came to liberate us,
liberate us from our debt
He came with a promise . . .
to give us a new mindset.
Jesus came to free us,
free us from all sin
He came with a promise . . .
there is a crown to win.
He came to deliver us,
deliver us from our shame
He came with a promise . . .
we won’t suffer any blame.
Jesus came to free us,
to deliver and liberate
He came with a promise . . .
to give us a clean slate!

Stand fast therefore
in the liberty wherewith
Christ hath made us free,
and be not entangled again
with the yoke of bondage

True independence comes,
when from sin we are set free
when from temptation
we are able to flee.
Then we will not lust,
after worldly things
instead we will desire
the freedom Jesus brings.
True liberation comes,
when sin no longer binds
when the Holy Spirit enters
our hearts and minds.
Then we will not please,
the things of the flesh
rather we will desire
God’s Word each day afresh.
True liberty comes,
when with God we’re in love
when we store our treasure
with Him in heaven above!

Romans 8:21
Because the creature itself also
shall be delivered from the bondage
of corruption into the glorious
liberty of the children of God.
1 John 2:15-16
Love not the world,
neither the things
that are in the world.
If any man love the world,
the love of the Father
is not in him.
For all that is in the world,
the lust of the flesh,
and the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life,
is not of the Father,
but is of the world.

Grace is freeing,
liberating too
grace makes
all things new.
Grace erases,
shames past
graces brings
hope that lasts.
Grace allows,
a clean slate
grace gives
a new birth date.
Graces delivers,
a fresh start
grace softens
a stony heart.
Grace is freeing,
absolving too
grace puts faith
right into you!

Father, keep us safe,
as we celebrate . . .
our country’s freedoms
that have made us great.
Let us not go further,
down the road of sin
help us to turn from
the wickedness within.
Bring us back,
to trusting in You
give this Nation
a heart that is new.
Make us humble,
let us see our shame
so we can prayerfully
call upon Your name.
Heal our land,
scour out the pride
so You can be
once again our guide.
Father, keep us safe,
until such a time
this Nation comes out
of its downward climb!

2 Chronicles 7:14
“If my people,
which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.”

Grace was made flesh,
it was human and real
it prayed and it supped
it taught and it healed.
Grace came to save,
to justify and set free
grace imparted faith
to walk on the sea.
Grace came to give,
freedom and liberty
grace came to end
sinful man’s misery.
Grace came to supply,
strength to the weak
grace came to love
the poor and the meek.
Grace came in truth,
while here on earth
grace died on the cross
to bring all new birth.
Grace came in body,
heart, mind and soul
grace came in peace
to heal and make whole!
