United We Stand ~

Stir the hearts Lord,
of those of our land
to come back to You
so united we’ll stand.

Help us to become,
no longer divided
by the powers to be
who are so misguided.

Rouse the minds Lord,
of those who can’t see
the lies keeping us
from returning to Thee.

Help us to get over,
the hate and the anger
so our Trust in You
can again be our anchor.

Stir the souls Lord,
of all of mankind . . .
so that not one person
will be left behind!

If Only We Would ~

If we the people of
the good old USA
would only be humble
before God and pray . . .

Then He would forgive us,
of our rebellion and sin
and bless once more
these States we live in.

If all we the people,
were to seek His face
confessing and repenting
of our sinful disgrace.

Then God would heal,
our divided land
and United under Him
we would again stand.

If we the people,
would pledge our trust
and see that God’s laws
are fair and just.

Then God would,
give us a new start
and restore to Him
our Nation’s heart.

If we the people,
of the USA
would only be humble
and to God pray . . .

If You Will Seek ~

If to God you draw near,

Everywhere I look,
everywhere I turn . . .
Lord, I see the need
for so many to return.

Return from wandering,
from going astray
return back to . . .
the Life, Truth and Way.

Everywhere I step,
everywhere I go
Lord, I notice those
just going with the flow.

Flowing with the world,
conforming to its ways
following that wide path
leading from You away.

Lord, everywhere I look,
everything I see . . .
shows me all the hearts
needing to return to Thee!

When Today I See A Rainbow ~

When today I see a rainbow,
in the rainy, cloudy skies . . .
I have to ponder if it’s formed
from all of our tears and cries.

For, a rainbow can’t be seen,
unless the Son shines too
and I wonder if it holds . . .
God, surrendered hearts to You.

When today I see a rainbow,
I see a commitment once made
I have to ponder if it’s formed
of lost sheep that have strayed.

For, a rainbow can’t be seen,
unless the Son comes out too
and I wonder if it holds . . .
God, those coming back to You.

When today I see a rainbow,
I sit and I ponder . . .
the promise that God made
and I marvel at its wonder!

Backslidden one,
God wants you home

It’s not about the killings,
or about what kind of gun
it’s about a country . . .
the Ten Commandment’s shun.

It’s not about a movement,
but about a moving away
it’s a about a county . . .
who like sheep have gone astray.

It’s not about new rules,
or our constitutional rights
it’s about a country . . .
who in sin pridefully delights.

It’s not about new legislation,
or about a regulation change
it’s about a country . . .
who from God is estranged.

It’s not about the guns,

it’s about a country . . .
that continues to transgress!

My Heart Grieves ~

My heart grieves,
as this nation falls
for it no longer heeds
God’s righteous calls.

It has all but turned,
away from His grace
our leaders no longer
seek His divine face.

Man has succeeded,
to remove God’s laws
I grieve for a nation
now in Satan’s claws.

We’ve come a long way,
in a very short span . . .
went from in God we trust
to ~ we don’t give a damn.

My heart grieves,
for this country’s fallen soul
but, I know God still . . .
can heal and make it whole!

Time to Come Home ~

Are you that prodigal,
have you’ve run away
from the truth you knew
in your younger days?

Have you left your Father,
pursued a different life
has your lust and greed
stirred up only strife?

Did you chase after money,
to live the “American Dream”
are your plans to succeed
coming apart at the seam?

Are you at the bottom,
destitute and broke
does your worldly lifestyle
have on you a death choke?

Are you tired of making,
excuses for your  shame
are you running out of people
on whom you can blame?

So if you’re that prodigal,
return to God today . . .
He will show you back
to the Life, Truth, and Way!

This Heart of Stone ~

He took this heart of stone,
with its coldness deep within
hammered away the hardness
that was embedded with my sin.

He chipped away my conceit,
chiseled at all the greed
until my soul was ready
to accept the sower’s seed.

It fell upon such fertile soil,
I was ready to receive
the truth sown before me
was so effortless to believe.

My new-found faith in grace,
turned into wavering’s of doubt
I soon began to wander . . .
to shut the Lord’s Word out.

For years I denied it,
the sin, the lust, the greed
for years I defied it
the truth, the way, the need.

But this refined heart of stone,
finally saw its reckless ways
and God knew I’d return
from my drifting all those days.

And now I am a faithful sower,
I understand the heart of stone
so, I pray if you;re wandering
you too, will find your way back home!

The Wandering and Lost ~

Father God,
I do pray . . .
for the wandering
and lost today.

They’ve been hurt,
along the way . . .
and from Your path
they’ve gone astray.

Their hearts are broken,
their pain is for real
they’ve lost their joy
from the ache they feel.

They no longer see,
Your truth or light
the road for them
is as dark as night.

Their trust in You,
just plain ran out
and instead of faith
they live with doubt.

Father God,
