Because I am Loved ~
Because I am loved,
I am humble . . .
under my cares
I don’t crumble.
Because I am humble,
I am set free
from the devil
I am able to flee.
Because I am free,
I am forgiven
to holy living
I am driven.
Because I am forgiven,
I am saved
to the world’s ways
I’m no longer a slave.
Because I am saved,
I am strong
no more desire
I have to do wrong.
Because I was loved,
by Jesus first . . .
after righteousness
I hunger and thirst!
~~~~~~~~
Humble yourselves therefore under
the mighty hand of God, that he
may exalt you in due time:
But seek ye first the kingdom of God,
and his righteousness; and all these
things shall be added unto you.
1 John 4:19
We love him,
because he first loved us.
Make Grace Greater ~
Make grace greater,
than your pride
let it become . . .
your earthly guide.
Make humility bigger,
than your ego
let it become . . .
your heart’s credo.
Make courtesy stronger,
than your vanity
let it become . . .
your mind’s canopy.
Make meekness bolder,
than your conceit
let it become . . .
your soul’s heartbeat.
Make grace greater,
let it grow in your heart
then bitterness . . .
won’t even root or start!
~~~~~~~~~
Looking diligently lest any man
fail of the grace of God;
lest any root of bitterness
springing up trouble you,
and thereby many be defiled;
But grow in grace, and in the
knowledge of our Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now
and for ever. Amen.

Putting On Mercy ~
Lord, help me to put on,
Your tender mercy
to all those who are
hungry and thirsty.
Help me to be kind,
to those who are needy
keep me always humble
not selfish and greedy.
Lord, help me to put on,
Your loving, forgiving heart
so when I am wronged
forgiveness I can impart.
Help me to be gracious,
give me Job like patience
to all who You send or bring
into my acquaintance.
Lord, help me to put on,
Your mercy every day
so for You I can lead . . .
others to the Truth and Way!
~~~~~~~~~
“Put on therefore,
as the elect of God,
holy and beloved,
bowels of mercies,
kindness, humbleness of mind,
meekness,longsuffering;
Forbearing one another,
and forgiving one another,
if any man have a quarrel
against any: even as Christ
forgave you, so also do ye.”
” Behold, we count them happy which endure.
Ye have heard of the patience of Job,
and have seen the end of the Lord;
that the Lord is very pitiful,
and of tender mercy.”
A Deep Satisfaction God Has ~
A deep satisfaction,
God gets from us
when we place in Him
our faith and trust.
For when we give Him,
all our imperfections
we open up our hearts
to His corrections.
A deep gratification,
God has for us
when we give Him
every ounce of our trust.
For when on His power,
we daily come to seek
He rewards with the strength
to be humble and meek.
A deep pleasure,
God takes in us
when on Him . . .
we learn to trust!
~~~~~~~~~~
“But without faith
it is impossible to please him:
for he that cometh to God must
believe that he is, and that he
is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him.”

Do You Feel Like A Babe ~
Do you feel like a babe,
do you feel incomplete
does your spiritual life
seem to be bittersweet?
Well you need not be,
too worried or concerned
for deeper faith comes . . .
through lessons learned.
Does your faith feel feeble,
does it seem so weak
do you trip and stumble
over being too meek?
Well you’re not alone,
others felt this way too
and as your faith grows
it too will humble you.
Do you have lots of doubt,
do you feel stunted
does your future hope
feel as if it’s been gutted?
Well continue to trust,
and in Jesus to believe . . .
for the more you hope
the more faith you’ll receive!

could not speak unto you
as unto spiritual,
but as unto carnal,
even as unto babes in Christ.”

Lift Me Up Lord ~
Lift me up Lord,
for I’m feeling down
I need You to turn
my spirits around.
Lift me up Lord,
for I’m feeling blue
I need a pick me up
like only You can do.
Lift me up Lord,
for I’m feeling low
I need You to bring
back salvation’s glow.
Lift me up Lord,
for I’m feeling bleak
I need Your strength
for I am just too weak.
Lift me up Lord,
I humbly ask . . .
for without Your power
I’m not up to the task!
~~~~~~
” Humble yourselves
in the sight of the Lord,
and he shall lift you up.”
Fruit Producing ~
Filled with the Spirit,
producing His fruit
now that in my heart
God’s love took root.
As I continue to grow,
more joy and peace
I find being patient
is easier to release.
As I’m cultivating,
the seeds of gentleness
it’s becoming natural
to sow deeds of goodness.
Tempering my faith,
with lots of meekness
is helping me to serve
with true humbleness.
Filled with the Spirit,
growing His fruit . . .
praying with God’s help
they will all take root!
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness,
goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law.”
A New Heart ~
A new heart,
is quite a sight . . .
for it’s now full
of Jesus’ light.
It’s no longer bitter,
it now forgives
for no longer to self
does it now live.
It has assurance,
an inner desire
for the Holy Spirit
to lead and inspire.
It loves God’s Word,
it reads it each day
it seeks to follow
the narrow way.
It encourages others,
to come to the cross
it now understands
sin can’t be the boss.
It’s full of joy,
hope and trust
it no longer craves
after its former lust.
For it’s now humble,
lowly and meek
it knows without God
it is truly weak.
A new heart,
is easy to spot . . .
for the wisdom of God
it has finally got!
~~~~~~
“A new heart also will I give you,
and a new spirit will I put within
you: and I will take away the stony
heart out of your flesh, and I will
give you an heart of flesh.”

This is A Test ~
God’s sending me tests,
He’s giving me situations
He’s seeing if I’ll claim
His peace trough tribulations.
God’s giving me a chance,
to find new grace each day
He is seeing if my faith
will hold up along the way.
God’s working in me patience,
He wants to affirm my hope
He’s teaching me to trust Him
for the strength I need to cope.
God’s seeing if I will rejoice,
when things are askew
He’s looking to see His glory
in my life shinning through.
God keeps informing me,
Child, this is just a test . . .
so that I may experience
what is His perfect rest!
~~~~~~
And not only so, but we glory in
tribulations also: knowing that
tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience;
and experience, hope:”
For Jesus’ Name’s Sake ~
For Your name’s sake,
I will follow after You
for the sake of Your name
to Your paths I’ll be true.
For Your name’s sake,
I will go though the fire
for the sake of Your name
I’ll do what You desire.
For Your name’s sake,
I will be humble and meek
for the sake of Your name
Your purpose I will seek.
For Your name’s sake,
I will remain faithful
for the sake of Your name
in hard times I’ll be grateful.
For Jesus’ nameโs sake,
I will give God my praise
for the sake of His name
I will follow God’s ways!
of righteousness for
his name’s sake.”
A Daily Transformation ~
Lord, this year I want . . .
to spiritually grow
I want the Holy Spirit
in my life to glow.
I want a mind,
that is regenerated
on pure, holy thoughts
I want it concentrated.
I want my words to be,
ones that bring new life
I want them to carry
peace and never strife.
I want my actions,
to ooze with usefulness
I want my every deed
to exude fruitfulness.
I want my attitude,
to be humble and meek
I want to encourage
the lost and the weak.
I want my reactions,
to reflect Your love
I want Your will
to be all I think of.
Lord, this year I want . . .
a daily transformation
I want the Holy Spirit
spurring my motivation!
