~ Be Thou Faithful ~

Be thou faithful,
be ever patient
God is working
for your benefit.
For your times,
are in His hands
so be still and wait
till you know His plans.
Be thou hopeful,
be also trusting
God is working
in you something.
For your life,
is in His hold
so be at peace
as you He molds.
Be thou faithful,
be trustworthy too
while God is doing . . .
something new in you!
~~~~~~~~~~
For it is God which worketh
in you both to will and to do
of his good pleasure.
In God’s Waiting Room ~
In God’s waiting room,
I sometimes have to stay
it where He teaches me
the whys for His delay.
He wants me to know,
waiting has its due season
and soon I will gather
the answers to His reason.
He uses this waiting time,
for me to focus on His face
so that I can experience . . .
the full measure of His grace.
He wants me to learn,
how to depend on Him
why my pride and conceit
He has to pare and trim.
In God’s waiting room,
I’ve learned all about delay . . .
it’s where He taught me to trust Him
for my tomorrows and today!
Trust and Be Still ~
So many desires,
so many petitions
so many asking
God for provisions.
So many needing,
answer to prayers
so many wondering
if God really cares.
So many wanting,
to know if God hears
so many discouraged
by all of their fears.
So many requests,
to have an answer
so many let doubt
spread like cancer.
So many petitions,
for knowing God’s will
so little confidence . . .
to trust and be still!
~~~~~~~
“And this is the confidence
that we have in him, that,
if we ask any thing according
to his will, he heareth us:
And if we know that he hear us,
whatsoever we ask, we know
that we have the petitions
that we desired of him.”

I Did Not Know!
How often did I not hear,
the Lord’s voice when He was near
with all the noises in my head
I must admit ~ I did not regard it!
How often did I not see,
where the Lord was leading me
with all the things I must do,
I must admit ~ I did not notice it!
How often did I not embrace,
the Lord’s loving touch of grace
with all the confusion inside me
I must admit ~ I did not feel it!
How often did I not detect,
the Lord just wanting to protect
with all the commotion going on
I must admit ~ I did not sense it!
How often did I not discern,
what the Lord wanted me to learn
with all the different points of view
I must admit ~ I did not recognize it!
How often now do I hear,
the voice of my Lord drawing near
now that I have learned to be still . . .
I must admit ~ I finally listen to it!

Resting in the Lord ~
I’m resting,
I’m waiting on the Lord
some people say . . .
I look a little bored.
But, I’m trusting,
see how I am still
it’s because I know
it’s all about His will.
Yep, that me,
looking sweet as a lamb!
Only because I know . . .
He sees me as I am.
Waiting, anticipating,
nothing to worry about
I have faith in my Lord
what is there to doubt?
God’s timing is perfect,
so I am just hanging
He’s teaching me to be still
and I’m not even panting!

Be Still ~
Be still, my soul, be at peace,
let not thy worries overcome
be still, and know He is your God
and will . . . your heart-strings . . . strum.
Be still, my heart and let go,
let surrender be thy sweet release
be still, and know God’s saving power
to eternity, can never fail or cease.
Be still, my mind and surrender all,
let thy weakness take you to your knees
be still, and know of God’s sufficiency
where His glory surpasses all thy needs.
Be still, my spirit admit thy defeat,
let thyself dwell on things from above
be still, and know He is in control
and be strengthened by and in His love.
Be still, my soul be at peace,
let Him complete in thee His perfect will
be still, and know He is your God
and will . . . your heart-strings . . . still.

Until He Will . . . Be Still ~
When waiting on the Lord,
to answer your prayer
don’t become discouraged
instead, rest in His care.
When seeking His response,
for your wants and needs
don’t become depressed
be at peace until He leads.
When God is quiet,
but you heart isn’t so
don’t become worried
instead, let His mercy flow.
When looking for a word,
to help show the way
don’t become disheartened
but, let joy fill your day.
When waiting on the Lord,
needing to know His will
don’t become anxious
instead, trust and be still!

God’s Waiting Room ~
In God’s waiting room . . .
I sometimes have to stay
at first I don’t understand
the reasons for His delay.
But ~ while I am in there,
it becomes obvious to me
and He shows me why
I have to wait and see.
He wants me to learn,
how to depend just on Him
why my pride and conceit
He has to pare and trim.
He uses this waiting time,
for me to focus on His face
so that I can experience
the full measure of His grace.
He wants my every thought,
to be centered on His peace
though He takes His time
His love for me doesn’t cease.
He wants me to understand,
that waiting has its due season
and soon I will gather
the answers to His reason.
In God’s waiting room . . .
I’ve learned about delay
and now I understand
how to trust Him every day!
