Tag Archives: Good News

Bible preachers, mercy teachers,
sharing with all the Good News
power keepers, soul reapers
doing our best to fill His shoes.
Love producers, peace makers,
helping those who are in need
trust imparters, faith informers
looking for His lost sheep to feed.
Hope distributors, calm givers,
paving the way with His light
God seekers, Jesus searchers
living the good and faithful fight.
Sin stoppers, temptation busters,
leading others from the gate of hell
truth tellers, one day heaven dwellers
with the greatest love story to tell.
Light bearers, problem sharers,
coming together in healing prayer
Bible holders, His soldiers
confessing Jesus because we dare!

A Spirit-led heart,
lives in each of us
teaching us how
in God to trust.
It shows us how,
we are to live
so hope to the lost
by faith we can give.
A Spirit-led life,
leads us to know
the way to Jesus
we need to show.
It encourages us,
to be a witness
for Jesus’ grace
and forgiveness.
A Spirit-led soul,
is bold and daring
the Good News . . .
it can’t help sharing!

Oh, Lord I can feel,
it’s almost harvest time
and the fields for reaping
are more than prime.
Oh, Lord I can feel,
the coolness of the day
bringing the Good News
that You are on the way.
I can see the crops,
are ripe for the picking
I can hear the clock
speeding up its ticking.
I can see the falling,
of fruit from the True Vine
I can smell the bitterness
of rancid, rotten wine.
Oh, Lord I can feel,
the fields are all but prime
I sense You can return . . .
just about any time!

Revelation 14:15
” And another angel came
out of the temple,
crying with a loud voice
to him that sat on the cloud,
Thrust in thy sickle, and reap:
for the time is come for
thee to reap; for the
harvest of the earth is ripe.”

Oh, to know the love of God,
and the peace in all things
is to understand the grace
of what a dying Savior brings.
Oh, to know the love of God,
that forgives us of our sin
is to understand the mercy
that flows from deep within.
Oh, to know the love of God,
and the promise of eternal life
is to understand the compassion
it took to end mankind’s strife.
Oh, to know the love of God,
that heals, restores and renews
is to understand the promises
flowing throughout the Good News.
Oh, to know the love of God,
that one cannot earn or buy
is to come understand
why Jesus . . .ย had to die!

ย Whatever that is true,
that which shines of His light
whatever that will fill you . . .
withย God’s power and His might.
Think about such things,
before you start your day
it will help keep you from
following the world’s way.
Whatever that is honest,
that which is sincere
whatever that will help you
to overcome your fear.
Think about such things,
as you go about the day
and to the world’sย ideals
your soul, they’ll notย sway.
Whatever that is just,
right, proper and moral
whatever that will keep you
from doing what’s immoral.
Think about such things,
all throughout your day
and to the world’s lusts
you’ll quickly turnย away.
Whatever that is pure,
undiluted and untainted
whatever that’ll keep the truth
from being contaminated.
Think about such things,
no matter the time of day
andย by theย worldly teachers
you will not be lead astray.
Whatever that is lovely,
beautiful and divine
whatever that brings peace
to your heart and mind.
Think about such things,
whether it be night or day
and to the world’sย thoughts
your faith, will not decay.
Whatever things are lovely,
what brings to mind the Good News
whatever things give praise to God
let them be the thoughts you choose!

Philippians 4:8
“Finally, brethren,
whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue, and if there
be any praise, think on these things.”

Lord, give me boldness,
to speak out for You
let me not be ashamed
to let Your light shine thru.
Let me be courageous,
when theย Gospel I share
let my words be spoken
with respect and care.
Let me be audacious,
when I speak out about sin
let me not hold back
so souls for You, I may win.
Let me be daring,
withย the words I choose
let me not be afraid
to share the Good News.
Lord, let me be forthright,
when the truth I tell . . .
so I may show the way
that leads away from hell!

Joy banishes all fear,
removes any doubt
joy that is everlasting
cannot be cast out.
Joy is the Good News,
a Savior has come
joy opens the door
to His eternal kingdom.
Joy that is great,
brings endless gladness
joy that is mighty
brings to all happiness.
Joy is for everyone,
to have and behold
this kind of joy
is heavenly gold.
Joyย sets free a sinner,
brings glory to God
all who come to Jesus
will be joyfully awed!

which shall be to all people.”

Besides still waters, He leads me,
to pastures green, He guides
my Shepherd’s care for me
never wanes, ebbs or subsides.
He feeds me the Good News,
with words that sustain me
He fills me with wisdom
so His truths I can see.
To the land of milk and honey,
where heavenly manna flows
my Shepherd takes me to where
my love for righteousness grows.
He corrects with tender affection,
sometimes with His rod
but, I know His staff of love
will steer me to the throne of God.
Into the valley He takes me,
where I can sip from His well
the spring of Life-Giving waters
keeps my soul from the pit of hell.
Besides still waters, He guides,
to pastures green, He leads me
my Shepherds’ care will never cease
until with Him in heaven I’ll be.

Like the refreshing dew,
outside my window pane
the Word of God falls on me
like a gentle rain.
There is such a peace,
that cascades over me
calming looming storms
lingering out at sea.
Between the pages lay,
words of eternal life
flowing in the Good News
the answers to my strife.
My Bible instructs me,
when I need to know . . .
what I should be reaping
how I ought to sow.
My heart begins to soar,
when I grow my eagle wings
as the Holy Spirit rains on me
every spiritual blessing.
Like the refreshing dew,
the Word is uplifting . . .
spilling forth with His truth
to keep my soul from drifting.

Would I preach the Word,
if I knew, I’d be stoned
would I be so willing
if I knew, I’d be disowned?
Would I speak the Truth,
if I knew, I’d be killed
would I be so bold
if I knew, I’d be stilled?
Would I shine the Light,
if I knew, I’d be rejected
would I be so confident
if I knew, I’d be dejected?
Would I proclaim the Way,
if I knew, I’d be refused
would I be so convinced
if I knew, I’d be abused?
Is it worth the risk,
for me to say a word . . .
is it worth my life to share
the Good News I’ve heard?
