Be Not Anxious For Anything ~

Be not anxious,
for anything . . .
instead pray about
all and everything.

For worry will get you,
no where at all
but, peace you will get
when on Jesus you call.

Be not troubled,
about whatever
for nothing on this earth
will last forever.

For sufficient is today,
are all the issues
so why let tomorrow
bring to you the blues.

Be not anxious,

so not to be careful!

A Peaceful Life ~

A peaceful mind,
is full of calm
the Word of God
is its healing balm.

It frets not about,
what may be
for Lord it puts
its trust in Thee.

A peaceful heart,
is full of ease
for with sin
it does not tease.

It’s not to the world,
even slightly conformed
instead in Jesus its been
completely transformed.

A peaceful life,
is a life worth living
for it knows to pray
for every single thing!

Praying Night and Day ~

There are many reasons,
for us to pray . . .
to either start off
or to end our day.

For what’s in between,
our wakeful hours
we’ll need to have lots
of God’s power.

There are many needs,
we must pray for
before both our feet
even hit the floor.

For our spiritual armor,
we’lll need to have on
whether it be in the night
or at the crack of dawn.

There isn’t any reason,
we should not pray . . .
regardless of the time
of the night or day!

Be Anxious For Naught ~

Be anxious for naught,
let nothing cause you dread
let go of that worry
filling up in your head.

Be concerned for zilch,
let Jesus take your care
let go of all that you fear
so your anxiety He can bear.

Be nervous for nada,
let Jesus have your doubt
let go of those problems
that are stressing you out.

Be burdened for zip,
let your troubles not alarm
let go of that heavy load
place it all in Jesus’ arms.

Be anxious for nothing,
is Jesus’ command to us
His peace He wants to give . . .
if we’d just let go and trust!

We Who Have True Faith ~

We who have true faith,
know God’s trustworthy
no matter what comes our way
He is always praiseworthy.

For we know He has for us,
only His absolute best
we understand He’s with us
through every trial and test.

We who have true trust,
know God will never leave
how all things are possible
because Jesus we believe.

For we know the Holy Spirit,
daily equips us for the fight
filling us with the power
of His awesome holy might.

We who have true faith,
know that God is deserving
and our thanksgiving to Him
we constantly are serving!

When My Heart is Troubled ~

When my heart is troubled,
when my mind has cares
I gratefully go to God
with my pleas and prayers.

When my heart is faint,
when my mind has unrest
I pray for God’s peace
upon my first request.

When my heart is heavy,
when my mind has doubt
I pray ceaselessly believing
God will work things out.

When my heart is weary,
when my mind’s full of fear
I pray asking my Father
to drawn me close and near.

When my heart is troubled,
when my mind has cares
at Jesus’ feet I leave them
with my thankful prayers!

Beyond Thanksgiving Day ~

Thanksgiving is more,
than food and football
it goes way beyond . . .
turkey on the table.

Thanksgiving isn’t about,
just one meal we share
it goes way further . . .
then a dinner prayer.

Thanksgiving is about,
each day of the year
making sure our praise
God is able to hear.

Thanksgiving isn’t about,
a single day with family
it goes way past . . .
our sated apathy.

Thanksgiving is about,
being thankful for all things
no matter what in this life . . .
to your table that it brings!

Don’t Worry, Be Trusting ~

Don’t worry about tomorrow,
don’t fret about today
just keep your eyes on Jesus
let Him take your cares away.

Don’t become weary,
don’t become faint and weak
just keep your eyes on Jesus
make sure He’s the first you seek.

Don’t stress about anything,
don’t tense up about your life
just keep your eyes on Jesus
let Him deal with all your strife.

Don’t become fearful,
don’t become full of doubt
just keep your eyes on Jesus
let Him work your faith out.

Anxiety Free ~

So often, we succumb,
to our dread and fear
forgetting the promise
God is always near.

We often start to think,
God must be mad at us
forgetting the reason
why Jesus, we even trust.

So often we let worry,
take control of our mind
forgetting God’s peace
is ours to seek and find.

We often feel the panic,
before it even sets in
forgetting when we doubt
is just letting Satan win.

So often, we succumb,
to worry, doubt and fear
but if we remember to pray . . .
our anxiety will disappear!

Where To Turn ~

When I need some peace,
I turn to John 14:27
then I leave all my fears
on the throne up in heaven.

When I’m feeling anxious,
I read Philippians 4:6
then I give all my troubles
to God to mend and fix.

When I need more strength,
I mediate on Psalm 18:2
then I rely on God’s power
to help me to get through.

When I’m feeling worn out,
I study Isaiah 40:31
then in God I am renewed
and my worries I overcome.

When I am low on faith,
I refer to Matthew 15:28
then I learn to trust in God
even if I have to wait.

When I am feeling unloved,
I turn to John 3:16
then I just bask and soak up
all the love that Jesus brings!

For, Jesus promises,

you will find His rest when . . .
thanksgiving is also there.

Don’t get overly nervous,
don’t fuss and fret about
lest your anxiety will cast . . .
those tiny seeds of doubt.

For, Jesus knows you need,
Him to take away your fear
and a thankful heart will . . .
bring Him close and near.

Don’t let your anxiety,
rob you of your peace
instead let thankfulness . . .
be what you release!

Crying out to God ~

Sometimes, I cry out to God,
when being pushed to my limit
I pray asking Him to bring me
the full strength of His Spirit.

Whenever I am frighten,
when I’m knee-deep in my fears
I cry out for His light to shine
till the darkness disappears.

When my troubles hang on,
when they won’t let go of me
I cry out for His mighty power
so I can make Satan flee.

When illness comes my way,
when the pain keeps on growing
I cry out for His healing touch
in my life to keep flowing.

When sad and depressed,
when I become withdrawn
I cry out for His help
to keep on, pressing on.

Crying out to God,
is so natural to do . . .
for when it becomes a habit
prayer becomes a part of you!

From Anxiety to Peace ~

Be anxious for nothing,
let not anything cause you dread
