James 4:7

Satan’s Tool Of Fear ~

There is a harmful tool,
satan loves to use . . .
for our minds he wants
to daze and confuse.

It plants it ugly seeds,
of unbelief and doubt
so God’s plans for us
we cannot figure out.

He daily uses this tool,
on everyone of us . . .
for in God he doesn’t want
for us to put our trust.

It causes bewilderment,
and muddles up the mind
so God’s ways are harder
for us to go out and find.

He wants us to be anxious,
to load us down with care
so that we will think
Jesus our worries won’t bear.

This tool is called fear,
it’s satan’s favorite one
but if we submit to God
the devil will flee and run!

Those Who Love Jesus ~

Those who love Jesus,
are on the same path
for they know to turn
away from God’s wrath.

They have a fellowship,
of peace, hope and grace
together life’s challenges
they are willing to face.

Those who love Jesus
know He is in the midst
they understand the devil
they will need to resist.

They have a kinship,
of brotherly love
for they all are related
to their Father above.

Those who love Jesus,
to each other cleave
and just like Him . . .
promise never to leave!

On Jesus’ Name I Call ~

Sometimes into my head,
satan loves to crawl . . .
so that my every thought
he can attack and maul.

To his lying schemes,
I am very much aware
he may try with his lies
but, I’ll not fall into his snare.

Sometimes into my head,
satan likes to play around
so, I just say no to him . . .
whenever he comes around.

I’ll not let him take captive,
my heart or my mind
I refuse to fall into . . .
his trappings of any kind.

Sometimes into my head,
satan loves to crawl . . .
but, I can make him flee
when on Jesus’ name ~ I call!

Guilt Defeated . . .

Guilt is just a word,
that gets in our way
we often trip upon it
as we go about the day.

It’s Satan’s wisest tool,
in his shed of endless blame
it’s meant to provoke in us
a sense of regret and shame.

He takes out his pick,
and chips away at our soul
uncovering all our faults
is his deceitful goal.

He uses guilt to remind us,
of the mistakes we have made
not wanting us to forget them
nor let their memories fade.

With his axe and shovel,
he digs for us a pit
telling us as Christians
we’re not really fit.

So, the next time you feel,
guilt tugging at your feet
call out the name of Jesus
and Satan you’ll defeat!
