Girded With Truth ~

If the battle with satan,
you truly want to win
you will need the truth
abiding deep within.

For the truth will make,
satan up and flee
for in you Jesus . . .
he is able to see.

If the fight with darkness,
you are going to beat . . .
with the truth be girded
from your head to your feet.

That way when satan,
starts his vicious attack
you’ll be able with the truth
to fight him right back.

Life On The Battlefield ~

Life on the battlefield,
is no easy task . . .
for our daily strength
God we need to ask.

His Word will equip us,
so we can have victory
otherwise our lives
will be full of misery.

For our enemy is evil,
his tactics even worse
they are diabolical

We’ll need to be ready,

Lord, help me with my armor,

Mind Renewal ~

Sometimes with myself,
I get sick and tired . . .
especially since the old man
I thought had expired.

But, he seems to come back,
every now and then . . .
and I have to figure out
how to get rid of him again.

So whenever I find myself,
with the old man in a battle
on the Word I stand my ground
so my faith he can’t rattle.

For, he would love to see me,
once again in his control . . .
but, I refuse to allow him
back into my heart and soul.

Sometimes I have to fight,
the old man off with the new
that’s why I keep the spirit . . .
of my mind daily renewed!

Wicked High Places ~

Spiritual wickedness,
we all have to fight
but first we must pray
with all of our might.

For we won’t know,
how we’re to win . . .
or have the strength
to overcome sin.

Spiritual wickedness,
aiming for our hearts
with satan we battle
unending fiery darts.

For he wants us to lose,
the hope of our salvation
by luring us into . . .
his pit of temptation.

I need You to take charge

Smoking Hot ~

I saw it approaching me,
I knew from where it came
on the very tip of it . . .
I could even see my name.

It was smoking hot,
the flames were blazing
I knew after me
satan’s dart was aiming.

It had my faith in sight,
my trust was its goal
for satan’s always shoots . . .
directly for the soul.

As I put up my shield,
 on Jesus name I called
to help me to extinguish
this flaming, fiery ball.

So, beware my friends,

Warriors Know ~

Warriors know,
to God they need to pray
if they’re to face
the battles of the day.

So before they go,
out into the field
courage in their armor
they know to wield.

Warriors prepare,
for the fight ahead
by wearing their helmet
upon their head.

They carefully suit up,
so to stand firm
on the truths in the Bible
that they have learned.

Warriors know,
God’s armor a must
for it’s God’s power . . .
not their own they trust!

We are all warriors,
fighting against evil
we’re all in a battle
with satan the devil.

We are all up against,
wickedness in high places
we are all fighting . . .
to stay in God’s good graces.

We all are battling,
the darkness of this age
we are all fighting
the hatred and the rage.

We are all engaged,
in a war to survive
we are all fighting
to keep our faith alive.

We are all warriors,
fighting the faithful fight
we are looking to find . . .
a way to shine God’s light!

A Lot More Assurance ~

Lord, today I will need,
a lot more assurance
that You will give me
strength and endurance.

For it’s a daily battle,
I’m fighting out there
and I’m feeling fatigued
from the wear and tear.

Lord, today I will need,
more or Your power
to fight off the enemy
no matter what the hour.

For, the conflict I’m fighting,
is between good and evil
and every day I’m thrown
straight into its upheaval.

that’s a real life-saver.
