I Will Fight The Good Fight ~

I will fight the good fight,
I will to the end . . .
my faith in Jesus
I will always defend.

I will battle my foes,
I will wager my life
even if my trust in God
causes me worldly strife.

I will go off to war,
I will face my rivals
my hope in Jesus
they will never stifle.

I will wrestle my enemy,
I will face the struggle
for my devotion to God
they can never muzzle.

I will fight the good fight,
I will not ever give in
for I know in the end . . .
Jesus is going to win!

~ to GOD be the GLORY ~

Equipped ~

Father equip us,
with Your power and might
as today we prepare . . .
for this battle we fight.

Outfit us with the truth,
so we may endure
the pull of the darkness
and it’s wicked allure.

Father arm us,
for the battle ahead
prepare for us the way
so we can be Spirit led.

Supply us with the trust,
as with evilness we grapple
give us Your strength
as wickedness we tackle.

Father equip us,
so that we will be ready
to fight the good fight . . .
with a faith that is steady!

Satan Is Like A Spider ~

Satan is like a spider,
who spins a web silken
in hopes of capturing
any of God’s children.

He stealthily awaits,
for his poor clueless prey
so into his sticky trap
he can cunningly sway.

His legs are like soldiers,
they are deft and skillful
at keeping you enmeshed
in doing what is sinful.

So subtle and clever he is,
you won’t see the snare
until he has you trapped
once inside of there.

Satan is like a spider,
who spins a web of lies
he doesn’t care just who . . .
in his web of evil dies!

Just Like Rambo ~

I fight the good fight,
fair and square . . .
I’m always prepared
for spiritual warfare.

I’m ready for Satan,
and his principalities
when I’m done . . .
there’ll be fatalities.

I fight the good fight,
between flesh and lust
I fight because I know
winning is a must.

I’m armed and dangerous,
God’s Word is my ammo
when the enemy strikes
I can be just like Rambo.

I fight the good fight,
fair and square . . .
I never lose a battle
for, God’s armor I wear!

If With Our Mouths?

If with our mouths we confess,
our faith in God above . . .
then why don’t we show others
unconditional love?

If with our mouths we declare,
Jesus is our salvation
then why with this world
do we still have a flirtation?

If with our mouths we admit,
we’ve been set free from sin
then why does Satan’s armies
still end up with the win?

If with our mouths we profess,
Jesus is the Lord of our life
then why do we still live
with discord, turmoil, and strife?

If with our mouths we assert,
we walk everyday with the Lord
then why in our hearts and minds
isn’t His Word carefully stored?

If with our own lips we worship,
and give honor to our King . . .
then why are we so detached
from the lyrics that we sing?
