Not Of My Doing ~

Not of my doing,
but that of the Lord’s
for only He can cut . . .
sin’s strangling cords.

For once chocking in sin,
to Him I was dead . . .
but now through His love
I am alive instead.

Nothing to boast about,
nothing here to see . . .
only through my faith
and the grace He gave me.

For there wasn’t anything,
I could do for my soul . . .
only Jesus could save it
and make me in Him whole.

Not of my doing,
no good works to be done
we can only be saved . . .
by the gift of God’s Son!

All Or Nothing ~

It’s all or nothing,
there’s no in-between
to believe in the things
that cannot be seen.

It takes an act of faith,
to step out each day
and follow the Life . . .
of the Truth and the Way.

It’s not about our works,
but all about His grace
and a trust in God’s Word
our souls need to embrace.

It takes a heart of flesh,
one that is contrite
to see past the darkness
into His saving Light.

It’s all or nothing,
a decision we all must make
it’s faith by grace or by works . . .
that’ll decide our eternal fate!

My Eyes Are Set On ~

I have my eyes set on,
being with my Lord
it is something . . .
I joyfully look towards.

It’s my earthly goal,
one I will achieve
for it’s by my faith
in His grace, I believe.

I have my eyes set on,
an eternal destiny
how it’s going to be
perfectly heavenly.

It’s a destination,
I’m faithfully going for
for it will be a haven
of peace forevermore.

I have my eyes set on,
where I keep my heart . . .
and there isn’t anything
that can pry the two apart!

The Breadth Of God’s Grace ~

Do you know the breadth,
of God’s love for you
do you know the magnitude
of what Jesus went through?

Have you considered,
the scope of God’s grace
has your heart fully . . .
the richness of it embraced?

Do you comprehend,
how it’s all-encompassing
can your mind appreciate
just how far it’s reaching?

Have you considered,
the awe of it’s broadness
has your soul grasped onto . . .
the scale of it vastness?

Do you ever consider,
can you really comprehend . . .
the depth of God’s love
and how faraway it extends?

Ephesians 2:8-9

Working Your Way to Heaven ~

Some people they think,
because they are good
to heaven they’ll get . . .
as all nice people should.

They say their deeds,
are their sure way in
how their good acts
will atone their sin.

Some people they feel,
it’s up to them to obtain
their way into heaven
on a performance campaign.

Their credentials point to,
all of their good doings
and the actions of . . .
their own choosing.

But, Jesus I don’t believe,
there’s any acts we can do
to earn our salvation . . .
other than faith in You.

For it is by Your Life,
Your blood, grace and love
that we even can get . . .
to heaven above!

Grace Is A Mender ~

Grace is a mender,
of flaws running deep
it is a collector
of the tears we weep.

Grace is a healer,
of vessel’s broken
it is a free gift
God set into motion.

Grace is a liberator,
of evil and oppression
it is a deliver
of earthly transgression.

Grace is a giver,
of eternal redemption
it is a perfecter
of faith and salvation.

Grace is God’s mercy
pity and favor . . .
grace is God’s free gift
of Jesus our Savior!

God Changes Us ~

God changes us,
from the inside out
dispels the fear
alleviates the doubt.

He gives a new heart,
full of hope and trust
so His very own Spirit
He can put into us.

God changes us,
from the outside in
till we no longer
 desire to commit sin.

He gives us faith,
in grace and grace alone
so we may trust Jesus
our sins will atone.

God changes us,
so He can abide
in the new Spirit ….
we now have inside!

In CHRIST Alone ~

By faith alone,
in Christ alone
there’s no other
who can atone.

Alone with Christ,
safe and secure
alone with faith
grace to insure.

In Christ alone,
by faith alone
our only way
to heaven’s throne.

With faith alone,
hope eternal
with Christ alone
peace internal.

By faith alone,
in CHRIST alone
no other way . . .
to God is known!

It’s All About Grace ~

It’s all about grace,
nothing about me
it’s all about Jesus . . .
setting me free.

It’s all about believing,
grace, I’m unworthy of
it’s all about knowing
the gift of God’s love.

It’s all about grace,
God’s mercy unmerited
it’s all about Jesus . . .
to whom I’m indebted.

It’s all about trusting,
the Gospel as I do
it’s all about grace
working its way through.

It’s all about grace,
undeservingly given
it’s all about Jesus . . .
that my sins are forgiven!
