Be Not Anxious For Anything ~

Be not anxious,
for anything . . .
instead pray about
all and everything.

For worry will get you,
no where at all
but, peace you will get
when on Jesus you call.

Be not troubled,
about whatever
for nothing on this earth
will last forever.

For sufficient is today,
are all the issues
so why let tomorrow

Draw To God Near ~

When my heart pounds,
with anxiety and fear
it only calms down . .
as I draw to God near.

For the closer I get,
to where He is . . .
I am reminded
my dread is all His.

When my nerves jitter,
with doubt and worry
they only ease up . . .
when with God I tarry.

For the more time,
with Him I spend
I can see His light
just around the bend.

When my I am feeling,
shaky and dismayed
to God I close in . . .
so not to be afraid!

When Troubles Come ~

When troubles arrive,
as they come for you
go to God first . . .
and ask Him what to do.

For He is our helper,
on whom we can rely
for divine guidance
to use and apply.

When troubles create,
pressure from within
before anxiety and fear
can even set in.

Run into the High Tower,
God will meet you there
to relieve you from
all your worry and care.

When troubles approach
as they pursue you . . .
make sure you ask God
what He’d have you to do!

Lacking Peace ~

Is there a piece,
of your peace missing
are you hanging onto
anxious, nervous living?

Well perfect love,
will cast out all fear
so when full of dread
just draw Jesus near.

Is there a chunk,
of your serenity absent
is your sense of calm
but a fragment?

Well fix your thoughts,
on the things above
and you will be filled
with His perfect love.

Is there a piece,

well, give to God all that is . . .
to you nerve-wracking!

Sometimes we go through,
seasons of fainting . . .
when worldly catastrophes
leave us anxiously panting.

For all around us we see,
disorder of every kind
messing with the peace
in our heart and mind.

Sometimes we go through,
seasons of weariness . . .
when earthly calamities
fill us with restlessness.

For every where we turn,
we see the destruction
that evilness brings
when under its seduction.

Sometimes we go through,
seasons of trepidation . . .
but we who believe in Jesus
are free of apprehension!

Fraught With Worry ~

Often we find our hearts,
are fraught with worry
our thoughts turn into . . .
a nervous, swirling flurry.

We fret and we fuss,
over what we can’t control
until fear becomes . . .
embedded into our soul.

Often we find our minds,
are overwhelmed by dread
our thinking gets clouded . . .
by the anxiety in our head.

We get so caught up in,
our fearful trepidation
until fear’s spiny fingers . . .
takes over our circulation.

Often we find our hearts,
letting worry into our mind
keeping us from God’s peace
to discover or to find!

Anxiety’s Trap ~

I felt the trap,
of anxiety
set a snare
on my sanity.

The conditions,
were just ripe
that at my heart
it took a swipe.

I took the bait,
ran away with it
then fell into
a nervous snit.

It took some time,
for me to see
this isn’t where
God wants me.

So I sent my own trap,
for anxiety . . .
now with God’s love
fear had no priority!

Restless No More ~

When your worries,
leave you restless
and your fears
render you useless.

That’s when you need,
to ask God to free you
from the concerns
that you’re enslaved to.

When your anxieties,
leave you jittery
and your emotions
cause you misery.

That’s when you need,
to ask Jesus to impart
the calm only He can
bring into your heart.

When your fears and cares,
have you feeling edgy
let the peace of Jesus . . .
make your nerves steady!

Everyone Has Something ~

Everyone has something,
messing up their day
everyone has new storms
freshly blowing their way.

Everyone has problems,
throwing them off course
everyone has troubles
coming at them full force.

Everyone has dilemmas,
they need to address
everyone has anxieties
causing them to stress.

Everyone has worries,
tossing them about
everyone has concerns
they need to work out.

But, we who have Jesus,
needn’t be aghast . . .
for onto Him our cares
we can freely broadcast!

Troubles Abounding ~

In this fallen world . . .
there’ll be troubles abounding
worries and cares
conceptually confounding.

But, Jesus said we’re not,
to fret or to despair
but to hand over to Him
our every single care.

Each day there’s enough,
troubles of its own
packed full of anxiety
from the things unknown.

But, Jesus insisted,
we are not to dread
nor are we to panic
but to trust Him instead.

In this fallen world,
we’ll have plenty of distress
but, Jesus makes it clear
over them we needn’t obsess!

When I’m weak,
and oh so weary

Get a Grip on Fear ~

Whenever fear begins,
messing with my head
when it fills up my heart
with anxiety and dread.

It’s when I go to Jesus,
to still the storm inside
soon the waves of fear
calmly start to subside.

Whenever fear grips me,
squeezing my very soul
when with it I battle
to take back control.

It’s when I go to Jesus,
for that stillness exceeding
soon the trembling I feel
starts peacefully receding.

Whenever fear creeps in,
just as it starts to invade
it’s when I go to Jesus . . .
for He makes me not afraid!

Hold On ~

I once was like a ship,
you could call me a wreck
when storms came my way
I’d hit hard on the deck.

I could not ride out,
the worries they brought
fear and apprehension
left me anxious and fraught.

Under the harsh conditions,
I would fold under the pressure
so severe were my nerves
no turbulence could I weather.

But, now I don’t sweat,
the turmoil life brings
for I’ve learned to trust Jesus
in and for all things.

I once was a wreck,
just like a sinking ship . . .
but now I hold onto my faith
so overboard I won’t flip!

God’s Love is Perfect ~

Perfect love removes,
every doubt and fear
it wants all our concerns
so to God we’ll stay near.

Perfect love erases,
worries harmful effects
for, our hearts it always
shelters and protects.

needless fret and unrest
it wants our anxiety
so with it we’ll be blessed.

Perfect love eliminates,
pride, lust and greed
for, love that is perfect . . .
fulfills our every need.

Taking It To Jesus ~

Whenever I’m unhappy,
feeling down and out
I take my thoughts to Jesus
talk to Him about my doubt.

I tell Him the way is hard,
things haven’t been so easy
my heart’s frequently broken
my stomach is often queasy.

I let Him know of my cares,
the worries on my mind
how I seem to bump into . . .
difficulties of every kind.

But, then He reminds me,
He came to give me peace
though it does not mean
my troubles will ever cease.

As I turn over in my mind,
my worries and my cares
they just seem to vanish . . .
the more with Jesus I share!

When Life Hurts ~

When life hurts,
and you ache inside
ask God for His peace
til the pain subsides.

For, He understands,
the heart that cries
and will empathize
with your fervent sighs.

When you tell God about,
your dread and  fears
He will send His joy
to wipe away your tears.

For, your every prayer,
goes right into His ear
there is not one
He isn’t willing to hear.

When life hurts,
give Jesus your pain
then pray for His peace
in your heart to come reign!
