The Peace Of God Transcends ~

The peace of God transcends,
anything we can perceive
and so sometimes . . .
it’s hard for us to receive.

But, if we were to let,
our hearts become still
and focus in on Jesus
our minds peace would fill.

The peace Jesus left us,
in this world can’t be found
no matter where you look
you won’t find it around.

But, if we keep our hearts,
troubled and worry free
what keeps us from His peace
would from our minds flee.

The peace of God exceeds,
what we will ever know . . .
unless in prayer to Jesus
we every day will go!

Water’s Troubling ~

I’ve been through water’s troubling,
in the turbulence of my mind
I’ve been tossed and shaken
by thoughts of every kind.

I’ve been blown all around,
in this whirlwind called life . . .
I’ve been in many storms
leaving me full of strife.

I’ve been through tumultuous times,
that were lengthy and prolonged
I’ve been through mind twisters
where anxious thoughts spawned.

I’ve been in deep dark waters,
with no sure way to get out
I’ve been in Satan’s cesspool
filled with dread, fear and doubt.

I’ve been through water’s troubling,
of every type and every kind . . .
but, Jesus has been the bridge
guarding my heart and mind!

A Feeling Of Calmness ~

There is nothing quite like,
having a feeling of calmness
to be at peace with God
and to bask in His kindness.

It helps you to remain,
tranquil throughout the day
no matter what situation
may come about your way.

There is nothing better,
than an air of peacefulness
to delight oneself with . . .
thoughts of eternal happiness.

It helps you to continue,
to stay to God near
as you make your journey
while living down here.

There is nothing that beats,
having a heart and mind
soaking up all the peace
only in Jesus one can find!

heals the spirit
restores the soul.

His love reaches,
the deep recesses

and sin depresses.

surpassing anything
we could ever find.

To those in need,
grace He freely gives
for only He knows . . .
how to truly forgive.

Treasures In Heaven ~

Treasures in heaven,
I have been storing
for it is where my heart
has long been mooring.

For worldly treasures,
will only tarnish and rust
but the ones in heaven
on them I can trust.

Treasures in heaven,
I have been keeping
ever since God ~ first
I started seeking.

For they’re incorruptible,
pure and holy
once I gave Jesus
my heart wholly.

where the sorrows of life
makes us beg for relief.

The hurting soul can’t calm,
or remove its own heartbreak
it needs the healing touch
of the One who won’t forsake.

We thirst for waters healing,
a peaceful resting place
where we can forget the pain
that’s so unbearable to face.

The grieving soul can’t let go,
nor cause the ache to part
only God can relieve . . .
the throbbing in its heart.

This Peace ~

I never knew this peace,
that God has imparted
I never knew this calm
keeping my heart guarded.

I truly don’t understand,
or know how to explain
why I don’t feel wracked
by this unbearable pain.

I could never imagine,
a mind not over fraught
or how joy can capture
each and every thought.

It’s past comprehension,
way beyond my grasp . . .
how tightly God can keep
one’s heart within His clasp.

But, I know this one thing,
no where else could I find
for, the peace Jesus brings . . .
isn’t like any other kind!

In the depth of despair,

Focus On Jesus ~

Some days good thoughts,
are hard to keep
sometimes it’s not easy
not to let the bad ones creep.

But, those who stay,
focused on the Lord
peace in their minds
will become shored.

Some days just crush,
our spirit’s into shards
sometimes it’s impossible
our hearts to guard.

But those who remain,
on the Lord centered
peace in their souls
will keep them sheltered.

Some days tranquility,
seems unobtainable . . .
but, those who focus on Jesus
will have peace unexplainable!

Give God Your Worries ~

Some people worry,
about anything
some get anxious
over everything.

Some wrestle daily,
with their troubles
some nightly fight
with their struggles.

But, those who wait,
on the Lord are still
the worries they have
their peace cannot steal.

They cast their anxiety,
onto Jesus each day
they don’t fret about
things coming their way.

Some people worry,
about anything
but, those who trust God
give Him their everything!

I’ve Got This Peace ~

I’ve got this peace,
that I just don’t get
but, it is becoming
for me a new mind-set.

There’s a calmness,
it seems so surreal
there’s a tranquility
that feels so unreal.

There’s a quietness,
filling up my heart
there’s a gentle hush
in the fearful part.

There’s a stillness,
now inside of me
there’s a restfulness
and it’s anxiety free.

I just don’t get . . .
this calm and peace
but, I know with Jesus
it will never cease!

Grief Is Like an Ocean ~

Grief is like an ocean,
it ebbs in and out
some days are calm
others are a wipeout.

Grief is like a stream,
that keeps on flowing
some days it slows down
others it comes rushing.

Grief is like the wind,
that seems not to ease
some days get gusty
others are but a breeze.

Grief is like a storm,
that can be unyielding
some days are tranquil
others are unrelenting.

Grief is a process,
that defies the span of time
for the loss of a love one . . .
lasts a whole lifetime!

This Peace ~

There is  this peace,
washing over me
I can’t explain . .
what I can’t see.

I cannot grasp,
nor comprehend
but I can sense
it’s without end.

I feel a calmness,
a deep tranquility
I’m being bathed
with eternal serenity.

I know its coming,
from God up above
for, He’s drenching me
in His perfect love.

There is this peace,
I can’t explain it . . .
but, I know its flowing
from the Holy Spirit!
