Blessed Are The Mournful ~

Blessed are those who weep,
those who are contrite
those who no longer
temptation want to fight.

Blessed are they who cry,
who are truly repentant
for their salvation they know
on Jesus is dependent.

Blessed are those pitiful,
those who see their fallen state
those who believe satan . . .
once held in his hands their fate

Blessed are the sorrowful,
those when remorse sets in
see the road they are on
leads only to death and sin.

Blessed are those who weep,
over their sin’s who mourn
for they are the ones who find
joy will come in the morn!

God Comforts the Mournful ~

Some people appear,
strong on the outside
when really they’re falling
apart on the inside.

Some people pretend,
they have it all together
some contend alone
any storm they can weather.

Some people claim,
they don’t need any aid
some camouflage
just how much their afraid.

Some people look,
happy and joyful
some disguise so well
a heart, sorrowful.

Some people are indeed,
strong on the outside
for, God comforts those
who mourn on the inside!

Grief Is Like an Ocean ~

Grief is like an ocean,
it ebbs in and out
some days are calm
others are a wipeout.

Grief is like a stream,
that keeps on flowing
some days it slows down
others it comes rushing.

Grief is like the wind,
that seems not to ease
some days get gusty
others are but a breeze.

Grief is like a storm,
that can be unyielding
some days are tranquil
others are unrelenting.

Grief is a process,
that defies the span of time
for the loss of a love one . . .
lasts a whole lifetime!

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress,

The Broken Heart’s Cry ~

Some days I wake up,
with tears in my eyes
and to the Lord . . .
my broken heart cries.

Lord, You understand,
the way that I feel
and I know my pain . . .
only You can truly heal.

Some days I wake up,
with tears falling
and to the Lord . . .
I just start bawling.

Lord, You understand,
the reason for my grief
and I know my pain. . .
only You can bring relief.

Some days I wake up,
with hope in my eyes
and I give to the Lord . . .
my pain ~ before I rise!
