We May Suffer Now ~

We may suffer now,
on our journey here on earth
but, oh the glory . . .
one day God will unearth.

We may moan and groan,
under all the strain
but, one day there will be
no more misery or pain.

We may be afflicted,
without having any relief
but, one day there will be
no heartbreak or grief.

We may wail and cry,
as our love one dies
but, one day there will be
no teardrops in our eyes.

We may suffer now,
but soon God will reveal
a new heaven and earth
that will be blissfully ideal!

Give Me Just A Glimpse ~

Lord, give me just a glimpse,
of how heaven’s going to be
let me peek into the room
You have reserved for me.

Let me see the streets,
paved with perfect peace
let me gaze upon the path
where grief will finally cease.

Lord, give me just a glimpse,
into the land of no more fear
let me glance into the Light
that’ll dry each and every tear.

Let me see the pathway,
where You will walk with me
let me have a quick look
where sorrow I’ll not see.

Lord, give me just a glimpse,
part the clouds so I can see
my family and my friends
who are waiting there for me.

A Happily Ever After ~

There is a happily,
ever after . . . .
a place filled with joy
eternal laughter.

But until we’re in heaven,
troubles there will be
but, Jesus says until then
to have peace in Me.

There will be a happy,
forevermore . . .
a place where death
will be no more.

But, until Jesus comes,
to rule and to reign
we will experience
sorrow, grief and pain.

There can’t be happiness,
in this world we’re living
but, one day there will be
not one eye found crying!

The City of No Mores ~

In the City of No Mores,
is where I long to be . . .
oh, how I can hardly wait
until Jesus returns for me.

On the street of No More Tears.
we’ll never again weep or cry
for there will only be bliss
as every eye will be dry.

On the road of No More Pain,
we’ll be complete and whole
for we’ll have a new body
and a new glorified soul.

Down the path of No More Sin,
we will leap, jump and run
for our battle against satan
will be finally won.

On the way of No More Death,
there’ll be a jubilant parade
for from the devil evil-doings
we’ll never again be afraid.

In the City of No Mores,
is where we’ll spend eternity
and dwell in the mansion . . .

I Long To Dwell ~

I long to dwell,
in eternal peace . . .
where fear and death
will forever cease.

Where things are seen,
through tearless eyes
where joyous shouts
are the only cries.

I long to dwell
on the other side
where with God . . .
His saints will reside.

Where sorrow stops,
as mourning ends
to spend eternity
with my forever Friend.

I long to dwell,
far from this place
where tears no longer
stream down our face!

The Pain of Everyone ~

If I could gather up,
the pain of everyone
all of their suffering
I would pray undone.

I would ask God to mend,
the sorrow and brokenness
to fill each grieving heart
with the joy of hopefulness.

If I could gather up,
everyone’s fallen tears
along with their grief
and all of their fears.

I would ask God to heal,
the despair and anguish
so that in His love
all could forever languish.

If I could gather up,
all the hurt, grief and pain
I would beg Jesus . . .
hurry up and come to reign!

In This Believer’s Eyes ~

In this believer’s eyes,
God’s beauty I behold
about a time to come
once long ago foretold.

I see a world receding,
as darkness turns to light
I see the glory of my Lord
and no more gloom of night.

I envision a paradise,
like none I’ve ever seen
I foresee a new earth
where everything is pristine.

I visualize a new heaven
where fear will have no reign
I can picture a place with . . .
no tears, no death, no pain.

In this believer’s mind,
I behold a coming day . . .
where all the former things
will have passed away!

I have a vision,
of better days . . .
it’s full of glory
worship and praise.

I can see faces,

eyes that no longer

flowing with grace

who braved the race.

I can see souls,

I can see where death
has given up its reign.

I have a vision,

With Jesus At Last ~

I know up in heaven,
there’ll be no more tears
painful moans and groans
will turn to joyful cheers.

Death will be defeated,
grief will finally cease
broken souls will be filled
with God’s eternal peace.

Cries will be heard no more,
only singing and praise
to our heavenly Father
and the Son that He raised.

Sorrow and heartache,
will no more be heard of
for there up in heaven
there’ll only be God’s love.

I know up in heaven,

and the best part about it . . . .
is being with Jesus at last!

One Day In Heaven ~

One day in heaven,
we will have perfect rest
when with eternal life
we are finally blessed.

We’ll have rest from heartache,
from our every sorrow
rest from our labor
the worries of tomorrow.

every disease and illness
rest from death and dying
our own spiritual sickness.

We’ll have rest from suffering,
from all that causes stress
rest from our despair
our cares that hard press.

Grief Is Like an Ocean ~

Grief is like an ocean,
it ebbs in and out
some days are calm
others are a wipeout.

Grief is like a stream,
that keeps on flowing
some days it slows down
others it comes rushing.

Grief is like the wind,
that seems not to ease
some days get gusty
others are but a breeze.

Grief is like a storm,
that can be unyielding
some days are tranquil
others are unrelenting.

Grief is a process,
that defies the span of time
for the loss of a love one . . .
lasts a whole lifetime!

Through The Eyes of Grief ~

Through the eyes of grief,
I’ve seen the effects of pain
I’ve watched others fall apart
from under its heavy strain.

I’ve witnessed for myself,
the heartbreak of tragedy
I’ve experienced the depth
of its excruciating agony.

Through the eyes of grief,
I’ve seen sorrow’s anguish
I’ve watched mine dissipate
I’ve also seen it languish.

I’ve seen what sorrow does,
in the lives of those grieving
how some turn from God
while others keep believing.

Though the eyes of grief,
I’ve seen what God can do
for I am an eyewitness . . .
of what grief can do to you.

So, if your heart is broken,
under the weight of grief
may you know God is waiting
to bring you peace and relief!
