Cast Everything ~

Cast everything,
leave nothing out
give to Jesus
all of your doubt.

Cast all your troubles,
all your worries too
for He wants to take
them all from you.

Cast your pain,
your sorrow and grief
for Jesus will bring
to your heart relief.

Cast your burdens,
let Jesus them carry
do it right away
don’t you tarry.

Cast all things,
weighing you down
and Jesus will give you
victory’s crown!

God Sees Our Tears ~

God sees our tears,
He watches them drip
He sees through them . . .
how onto hope we grip.

He knows our pain,
He understands the cause
He knows why we beg Him
to give our anguish a pause.

God sees our tears,
He notices each one fall
He sees them tumble . . .
as we weep, sob and bawl.

He knows our grief,
He empathizes with our sorrow
He knows why we pray . . .
for joy to dawn with tomorrow.

God sees our tears,
the tragic and bittersweet
for they gather together . . .
in puddles at His feet!

The Pain of Everyone ~

If I could gather up,
the pain of everyone
all of their suffering
I would pray undone.

I would ask God to mend,
the sorrow and brokenness
to fill each grieving heart
with the joy of hopefulness.

If I could gather up,
everyone’s fallen tears
along with their grief
and all of their fears.

I would ask God to heal,
the despair and anguish
so that in His love
all could forever languish.

If I could gather up,
all the hurt, grief and pain
I would beg Jesus . . .
hurry up and come to reign!

When A Heart Drops ~

When a heart drops,
you can hear it shatter
you can see the break
the fractured matter.

You can hear the crack,
the tear, the rip
you can see it loosing
the hope, the grip.

When a heart drops,
you can see it tumble
you can hear it rupture
as it starts to crumble.

You can see the split,
the chasm, the gap
you can hear the pain
the snap, the gasp.

When a heart drops,
God will catch it . . .
before into pieces
it breaks into bits!

God Will Stop At Nothing ~

God will use everything,
to draw us to Him nearer
He’ll do anything
to make His image clearer.

He will use our pain,
to take us that much deeper
He’ll use our sorrow
to make us a true believer.

God will use our guilt,
to make us more grateful
He will use our shame
to make us forever thankful.

He’ll use our weaknesses,
to make us even stronger
He will take our frailties
to make our faith tougher.

God will use anything,
to bring His image out in us
He will stop at nothing . . .
until He has all of our trust!

Not All Mother’s Are Happy Today ~

Not all mother’s,
are happy on this day
some their only child
has sadly passed away.

Other’s are forgotten,
it’s as if their were dead
these heart-wrenching words
their child, actually has said.

Some mother’s are alone,
from their children they’re apart
the miles between them
tug at her aching heart.

Other’s are heartbroken,
as their children seem aloof
there will be no gathering
today under her roof.

Not all mother’s,
are happy on this day
so please be kind to them
as you go about your way!

When Sleep Eludes You ~

When sleep eludes you,
on these things dwell upon
and before you know it
it will be a new dawn . . .

I will in perfect peace,
cause you to lie down
so come and rest on Me
I promise to stay around.

I will keep you safe,
all throughout the night
and when you awake
it’ll be to My light.

My ears are open,
to your every care
let Me have them now
so each one I can bear.

In My bottle I collect,
the drops of your tears
so trust Me tonight
with all of your fears.

This evening may be,
full of tears and sorrow
but, joy will come I promise
upon a new tomorrow!

Truly ~

I know from experience,
God sends us heartbreak
and through it I’ve learned
He truly doesn’t forsake.

Though at the time,
we may think God isn’t near
it’s at that very moment . . .
we must give Him this fear.

For, in the midst of tragedy,
Jesus is also there
and our pain and sorrow
He truly wants to bear.

He takes our sorrow,
and give us more grace
so that our tomorrows
we can joyfully face.

I know from experience,
the break of a grieving heart
and now I know my faith . . .
truly can’t be shaken apart!

Jesus Wept ~

Jesus groaned,
He moaned, He sighed
for that poor woman . . .
He even cried.

He felt the agony,
of sorrows fervent heat
for that poor woman . . .
fallen down at His feet.

Jesus wept,
real tears were shed
for that poor woman . . .
He bowed His head.

For, He too felt,
the pain, the grief
for that poor woman . . .
over death’s disbelief.

Jesus still groans,
moans and sighs
for the heartbroken . .
I’m sure He still cries!

His forgiveness and grace.

He gets what’s your beef

has only brought you grief.

He knows about your  sorrow,
He feels all of your pain
He knows you need His Spirit
in your life to come reign.

He hears your every cry,
sees your tears flowing
He knows the wrong way
your life has been going.

He knows your wanderings,
He gets where you’ve been
and He wants you to turn . . .
your life back over to Him.

God knows your burdens,
can only be undone . . .
in the freedom He offers
through Christ, Jesus His Son!

Deepening Faith ~

Thank You God for this time,
of sorrow, pain and grief
I know You sent it to me
to test my true belief.

Though, I don’t understand,
exactly Your reasoning
I can feel my faith . . .
in You deepening.

As I continue on the path,
I know You will heal . . .
the ache and the sadness
that today, I still feel.

I know You have a plan,
for every one of us . . .
and I know of no one else
in whom I can truly trust.

And so I’ll wait for You,
to bring me out my despair
and until such time . . .
Your faithfulness, I’ll declare!

Joy in Mourning ~

Tonight, I’m purging my sorrow,
I am crying my last tear
I am not going to weep
for, I’ve nothing left to fear.

Thou there is darkness,
surrounding me tonight
tomorrow I will awake
to His gracious light.

Tonight, I’m getting rid of,
all the pain that I feel
the grief I’ve bottled up
so my tears God can heal.

My sobbing He has noted,
they’re in His book of grace
tomorrow night there won’t be
any tears running off my face.

Tonight, I’m purging my sorrow,
I’ll not be crying in the morning
I am not going to weep . . .
for, joy has replaced my mourning!

When Life Hurts ~

When life hurts,
and you ache inside
ask God for His peace
til the pain subsides.

For, He understands,
the heart that cries
and will empathize
with your fervent sighs.

When you tell God about,
your dread and  fears
He will send His joy
to wipe away your tears.

For, your every prayer,
goes right into His ear
there is not one
He isn’t willing to hear.

When life hurts,
give Jesus your pain
then pray for His peace
in your heart to come reign!
