God gave me peace,
the day you died
as into His bottle
my tears I cried.
I knew they’d be safe,
there in His care
for He knew the depth
of my despair.
God showed me grace,
the day you perished
by keeping my hope
in Him nourished.
He knew my heart,
couldn’t handle the break
without His mercy
healing the ache.
God gave me peace,
as tears I was sowing
told me His joy . . .
I’d soon be knowing!

shall reap in joy.

When the sting of death,
first burned into my soul
I never thought again
I could be made whole.
But God sent to me,
all the grace I needed
as the tide of grief
ebbed and receded.
When the sting of death,
brought its gloomy sorrow
I didn’t think I could ever
face another tomorrow.
But God sent to me,
new rays of hope
filled with His strength
helping me to cope.
When the sting of death,
at first left me reeling
God in His time sent me . . .
inner peace and healing!

God brought into my life,
pain unimaginable
heartache so deep
it was unfathomable.
But, through it I found,
the meaning of steadfast
and onto my joy
I’ve learned to holdfast.
God brought into my life,
sorrow unthinkable
suffering so vast
it was unmeasurable
But, though it I discovered,
the surpassing of peace
and now I understand
why it will never cease.
God brought into my life,
pain unbearable
and now my faith in Him . . .
is indestructible!

When sleep eludes you,
on these things dwell upon
and before you know it
it will be a new dawn . . .
I will in perfect peace,
cause you to lie down
so come and rest on Me
I promise to stay around.
I will keep you safe,
all throughout the night
and when you awake
it’ll be to My light.
My ears are open,
to your every care
let Me have them now
so each one I can bear.
In My bottle I collect,
the drops of your tears
so trust Me tonight
with all of your fears.
This evening may be,
full of tears and sorrow
but, joy will come I promise
upon a new tomorrow!

I know from experience,
God sends us heartbreak
and through it I’ve learned
He truly doesn’t forsake.
Though at the time,
we may think God isn’t near
it’s at that very moment . . .
we must give Him this fear.
For, in the midst of tragedy,
Jesus is also there
and our pain and sorrow
He truly wants to bear.
He takes our sorrow,
and give us more grace
so that our tomorrows
we can joyfully face.
I know from experience,
the breaking of a grieving heart
and now I know truly . . .
nothing can shake my faith apart!

Jesus groaned,
He moaned, He sighed
for that poor woman . . .
He even cried.
He felt the agony,
of sorrows fervent heat
for that poor woman . . .
fallen down at His feet.
Jesus wept,
real tears were shed
for that poor woman . . .
He bowed His head.
For, He too felt,
the pain, the grief
for that poor woman . . .
over death’s disbelief.
Jesus still groans,
moans and sighs
for the heartbroken . .
I’m sure He still cries!

John 11:32-35
“Then when Mary was come where Jesus was,
and saw him, she fell down at his feet,
saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here,
my brother had not died.
When Jesus therefore saw her weeping,
and the Jews also weeping which came with her,
he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled.
And said, Where have ye laid him?
They said unto him, Lord, come and see.
Jesus wept.

A new song,
God’s put in my heart
of how His mercy
came to do its part.
He took my sorrow,
turned it into hope
gave me the grace
each day to cope.
A new song,
I’m going to sing
so others to Him . . .
my grief might bring.
He’s given to me,
a brand new melody
and for my heartache
joy is now its remedy.
A new song,
God’s given to me
thru grief I’ve a glimpse
of eternal glee!

Tonight, I’m purging my sorrow,
I am crying my last tear
I am not going to weep
for, I’ve nothing leftย to fear.
Thou there is darkness,
surrounding me tonight
tomorrow I will awake
to His gracious light.
Tonight, I’m getting rid of,
all the pain that I feel
the grief I’ve bottled up
so my tears God can heal.
My sobbing He has noted,
they’re in His book of grace
tomorrow night thereย won’t be
anyย tearsย running offย my face.
Tonight, I’m purging my sorrow,
I’ll not be crying in the morning
I am not going to weep . . .
for, joy has replaced my mourning!
