A Gift From God ~
A Gift from God,
a Savior born
on one starlit
glorious morn.
A Babe, a Boy
a virgin’s Son
imparting grace
to everyone.
A Man, a Prince,
a coming King
who in an blink
peace will bring.
A mighty God,
a sacrificial Lamb
the beloved Son
of the great I AM.
A Gift from God,
an eternal Friend
A Savior till . . .
the very end!

Guilty People ~
Guilty people,
are everywhere
they are sinners
but, they don’t care.
They have freedom,
or so they think so
but, true liberty
they do not know.
Guilty people,
are all around
looking for peace
but none is found.
They go about,
the things they do
worldly desires
they hotly pursue.
Guilty people,
believe not in God
but, they will know
His judgment rod.
They live their life,
to its fullest
to them Jesus
is but foolish.
Guilty people,
are everywhere
tis why the Good News
we need to share!

who walk not after the flesh,
but after the Spirit.”

After The Race ~
After this test,
there’ll be peace and rest
after the race . . .
there’ll be eternal grace.
When it is all done,
we’ll be with the Son
when it is completed
sin will be defeated.
When it is finished,
crowns will be polished
when it is concluded
death won’t be included.
When it is established,
Satan will be vanished
when it is all fulfilled
Heaven will be revealed.
After this life,
there’ll be no more strife
after the race . . .
eternal peace we’ll embrace!

and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow,
nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.”

Look Up Into the Heavens ~
When you’re feeling gloomy,
when you’re sad and blue
look up into the heavens
your hope will shine through.
For, when we focus in on,
our destiny that’s above
our sadness will turn to joy
in the light of eternal love.
Where you’re feeling lonely,
when you are all alone
look up into the heavens
envision God’s holy throne.
For, when we gaze upon,
the future God has in store
our feelings of separation
will be with us no more.
When you’re feeling dejected,
desperate for a friend
look up into the heavens
where peace will never end.
For, when we fix our eyes,
on the Kingdom yet to come
everything else will appear
a whole lot less grim and glum!

Heaven’s Tears ~
Lord, I know you have a bottle,
collecting all my tears . . .
from the pain and sorrow
I’ve had throughout the years.
They must be overflowing,
forming a river wide and deep
and I’m sure before my life ends
I’ll have more of them to weep.
Lord I know, You know my pain,
for You ~ have suffered too
and I wonder if there’s a bottle
up in heaven just for You.
It must be gushing over,
with all the tears You cry
over those who don’t believe
the reason You had to die.
Lord, I know one day our tears,
will forever stop and cease
and the river of tears in heaven
will flow with eternal peace!

of water of life, clear as crystal,
proceeding out of the throne
of God and of the Lamb.”

The Winter Soul ~
The winter of the soul . . .
is a cold and lonely season
when it doesn’t understand
the intention or the reason.
The bitter winds that come,
chills it to the marrow
with each gust that blows
it feels like a poison arrow.
The freezing rain and sleet,
seizes up its every tear
they become like icicles
encased with all its fear.
The winter soul can’t take,
the ills, the weight, the loss
unless the soul is willing
to keep clinging to the cross.
For it is in this icy season,
the soul can find His warmth
and nestle in the comfort
of what God will bring forth.
So, if the battered soul,
is to survive this frosty time
it must be willing to soar
and over each blizzard climb.
Winter in the soul . . .
is a cold and lonely season
but it can find great peace
knowing God has His reason.

Where’s Your Peace?
Where is your gift of peace,
where do you keep it . . .
is it found in a bottle of booze
or that cigarette you just lit?
Where is your gift of peace,
how many pills does it take
how many drugs do you need
till you no longer shake?
Where is your gift of peace,
when will the violence end
when will you stop hurting
your family and your friends?
Where is your gift of peace,
how much longer will you look
to the world for the answers
and not in the Good Book?
Where is your gift of peace,
where do you keep it . . .
how much longer from God
will you keep your sin a secret?
Jesus, is the Prince of Peace,
He’s your strength in all things
but you must turn to Him . . .
and confess to Him everything.
Then you will find the calm,
of God’s eternal peace . . .
and from these worldly things
in Jesus, you will be released!

and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,

Blessed are Those Who Mourn
Blessed are those who mourn,
those who see their lost condition
those whose heart for God are broken
who feel the sting of their affliction.
Blessed are those who are suffering,
those who see the effects of their sin
those who know of the pain of rebellion
who can feel the ache deep within.
Blessed are those who are distressed,
those who are awake to their sad state
those who are miserable and troubled
who can see the flames at hell’s gate.
Blessed are those who feel remorseful,
those who understands God’s great grief
those who have been a part of this world
who know that Jesus came to give relief.
Blessed are those who are sober-minded,
those who feel the weight of their offense
those who have been washed and forgiven
who now come to their Savior’s defense.
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they shall have eternal peace
they too will be comforted while on earth
for they know God’s love will never cease!

shall be comforted.”
