James 4:10

Lift Me Up Lord ~

Lift me up Lord,
for I’m feeling down
I need You to turn
my spirits around.

Lift me up Lord,
for I’m feeling blue
I need a pick me up
like only You can do.

Lift me up Lord,
for I’m feeling low
I need You to bring
back salvation’s glow.

Lift me up Lord,
for I’m feeling bleak
I need Your strength
for I am just too weak.

Lift me up Lord,
I humbly ask . . .
for without Your power
I’m not up to the task!

So Many Who Need Jesus ~

So many needing,
to be forgiven
so many who . . .
are evil driven.

So many without,
God’s love and grace
so many who  . . .
after the devil chase.

So many dying,
an eternal death
so many who . . .
need Jesus’ saving breath.

So many living,
without hope
so many who . . .
can’t see mercy’s scope.

So many needing,
to be saved
so many who . . .
to sin are enslaved!

Humble Submission ~

Lord, humbly I come,
my life I submit
for You to do . . .
whatever with it.

Help me to know,
Your perfect will
keep me on the road
to Calvary’s hill.

Help me to resist,
sinful temptation
let me not fall under
Satan’s sedation.

Help me to move,
closer to You
keep my soul away
from a world’s view.

Help me to have,
a heart that grieves
whenever to Yours
I refuse to cleave.

Lord, humbly I come,
I lift my life to You
for You to do with it . . .
what You must do!

Be Thankful Each Day ~

Walk humbly my friend,
before our God who is living
be thankful each day . . .
for the strength He is giving.

Walk meekly my friend,
before  God who is gracious
be thankful each day . . .
for His wisdom is ageless.

Walk gently my friend,
before God who is all-knowing
be thankful each day . . .
for His grace keeps you going.

Walk reverently my friend
before God who is all-powerful
be thankful each day . . .
for His love is bountiful.

Walk peacefully my friend,
before our God who is wrathful
be thankful each day . . .
for His mercy is plentiful.

My Friend and Savior ~

Oh Lord, I long to know You,
to feel the wonder of Your love
to marvel in Your grace
so to be called, Your beloved.

May my heart be filled,
with praise and adoration
for You, my Friend and Savior
are the hope of my salvation.

Oh, Lord may I be fruitful,
as I tell others of Your kingdom
may I lead and show the way
to everlasting peace and freedom.

May my heart be surrendered,
to the call You have for me
may I gladly submit to Your will
as I place all my trust in Thee.

Oh, Lord I yearn to follow You,
to make You my priority . . .
give to You my heart and soul
resign over, complete authority!
