Help Just One ~
If God can use me,
through my own misery
to help just one . . .
to come to Him
then my suffering
will be a sign of victory.
If He can use me,
through my own grief
to help just one . . .
to come to Him
then my anguish
will seem so brief.
If God can use me,
through my own fear
to help just one . . .
to come to Him
then my dread
will my heart cheer.
If He can use me ,
through my own worry
to help just one . . .
to come to Him
then for my concerns
I won’t be sorry.
If God can use me,
through my own pain
to help just one
to come to Him . . .
then my suffering
will not be in vain!

Brethren, if any of you do err
from the truth, and one convert him;
Let him know, that he which converteth
the sinner from the error of his way
shall save a soul from death,
and shall hide a multitude of sins.
Blessed be God, even the Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies,
and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our
tribulation, that we may be able
to comfort them which are in
any trouble, by the comfort
wherewith we ourselves are
comforted of God.
For as the sufferings of Christ
abound in us, so our consolation
also aboundeth by Christ.

Step Out In Faith~
Sometimes in faith,
we need to just step out
regardless if we have
any fear or doubt.
We need to claim victory,
before we even begin
by using the strength . . .
that to us Jesus has given.
Sometimes in faith,
we need to take a leap
even though the waters
may seem so very deep.
We need to take the risk,
no matter how terrifying
by using the power . . .
Jesus will be supplying.
Sometimes in faith,
a step out we need to make
but, first off our feet . . .
our doubts we need to shake!
~~~~~~~~
And Peter answered him and said,
Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto
thee on the water.
And he said, Come. And when Peter
was come down out of the ship,
he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
But when he saw the wind boisterous,
he was afraid; and beginning to sink,
he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
And immediately Jesus stretched
forth his hand, and caught him,
and said unto him, O thou of little faith,
wherefore didst thou doubt?
If God’s Hand Is Leading ~
If God’s hand is guiding,
then why aren’t we led . . .
if He feeds His sparrows
then why aren’t we fed?
If all things are possible,
then where’s the victory . . .
if joy comes in the morning
then why so much misery?
If God is our Shepherd,
then where are His sheep . . .
if we’re to be alert
then why do so many sleep?
If God is the potter,
then where is the clay . . .
if He leads us to righteousness
then why with fire do we play?
If God hand is leading,
by faith we need to grab on
before it’s too late . . .
and our last days are gone!
~~~~~~~~~~
And the Lord shall guide thee
continually, and satisfy thy soul
in drought, and make fat thy bones:
and thou shalt be like a watered garden,
and like a spring of water,
whose waters fail not.
He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths
of righteousness
for his name’s sake.
Even there shall thy hand lead me,
and thy right hand shall hold me.
For this God is our God
for ever and ever: he will
be our guide even unto death.

Jesus Is Our Helper ~
Jesus is our Helper,
from beginning to end
He’s been our Counselor
our trusted eternal Friend.
He is our Intercessor,
the link in our prayer chain
who helps when our words
we reach for and strain.
Jesus is our Advocate,
as our pleas to Him we aim
to God our litigator
when we call on His name.
He is our Strength,
who will never disappoint
in Him we have victory
through His vantage point.
Jesus is our Refuge,
the partner in our prayer
our present Helper
who will our burdens bear!
~~~~~~~~
God is our refuge
and strength, a very
present help in trouble.
But the Comforter, which is the
Holy Ghost, whom the Father will
send in my name, he shall teach
you all things, and bring all things
to your remembrance, whatsoever I
have said unto you.
I’m Completely Convinced ~
I am convinced I belong to God,
that nothing can separate us
I am sure and I am confident . . .
and so in Him I put all my trust.
Storms may toss and blow my way,
but I will not be swept out to sea
for I am sure and I am confident . . .
through each one God is with me.
There’s nothing man can say,
to break God’s and my alliance
I am sure and I am confident . . .
for on Him I put my full reliance.
The earth may shake and quiver,
yet my faith in God will stand
for I am sure and I am confident . . .
nothing can snatch me out of His hand.
I am convinced I belong to God,
my victory is in Christ alone
I am sure and I am confident . . .
one day He will take me home!
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor
life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers,
nor things present, nor things to come, Nor
height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of
God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
From Places Up High ~
Spiritual blessings,
from places up high . . .
are ours to behold
and daily apply.
The blessings of grace,
redemption and forgiveness
the blessing of being filled
with all of God’s richness.
From the Father’s right hand,
passed on to His Son
are all of His blessings
for us to draw upon.
The blessings of joy,
rest and eternal peace
the blessing of faith
with a hope not to cease.
The blessings of power,
strength and victory
the blessing of trust
in all of God’s mystery.
All spiritual blessings,
from places up high . . .
are ours to withdraw
on this we can rely!
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who hath blessed us with
all spiritual blessings
in heavenly places in Christ:”
Never Lose Sight ~
When getting ready,
to take on the battle
ask God for courage
so not to be rattled.
For God will give you,
His power and might
and on the victory
you’ll never lose sight.
Before you get attacked,
be ready to request
all the help you need
to win the contest.
For God will grant,
strength to your soul
and bring the attack
under His control!
but God’s.”
Trials All Around ~
Trials, trials are all around,
don’t know when they’ll come
but, we can be sure of this . . .
there’ll be more than just some.
Trials, here and everywhere,
arrive in all sizes and shapes
don’t matter if big or small
from them there’s no escape.
Trials, early in the morning,
testings through the afternoon
tribulations in the evening
anytime is ripe and opportune.
Trials, putting us to the test,
trying our faith in every way
hardship, suffering, adversity
looming over us every day.
Trials, trials are all around,
they’re coming for each of us
but, with Jesus and determination
they cannot destroy our trust!
My brethren, count it all joy
when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying
of your faith worketh patience.
Thy Will be Done ~
Thy will be done Lord,
oh, please not mine . . .
for I only make a mess
with plans of my design.
For I cannot see,
beyond my nose
and all my plans fail
when them I compose.
Thy will be done Lord,
such a simple task
but so seldom . . .
do these words I ask.
But when I do,
ah, what sweet victory
for when Thy will is done
I suffer no injury.
Thy will be done Lord,
for Yours is the perfect plan
and I never get it right . . .
when things are left in my hand!
say, Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.”
Clinging to My Victories ~
I’m clinging to my victories,
no matter what happens to me
I may suffer for today
but, tomorrow . . .
Jesus will set me free.
I’m clinging to my victories,
even when going through the fire
I may be downtrodden today
but, tomorrow . . .
Jesus will lift me higher.
I’m clinging to my victories,
although now my heart is fearful
I may be anxious today
but, tomorrow . . .
Jesus will make me cheerful.
I’m clinging to my victories,
as the storm continues to rage on
I may be weary today
but, tomorrow . . .
Jesus will bring the sun.
I’m clinging to my victories,
though everything’s a total loss
I may be bankrupt today
but, my debt . . .
Jesus took care of on the cross!
Willing ~
Lord, my spirit is willing,
but oh, how my flesh is weak
I would do anything . . .
if I could hear You speak.
Then you could tell me,
straight to my face . . .
what I need to do
to win the faithful race.
Lord, my heart is truly eager,
but, my body fights so hard
I’ve got my battle wounds
I know that I am scarred.
But, I know You can give,
me the faith and power
so that I can overcome . . .
the one who’s out to devour.
Lord, my spirit is ready,
make my flesh willing too
so I may resist temptation
and claim my victory in You!
The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Victory’s Crown ~
On the troubled sea,
blinded by wind and foam
my heart is set to sail . . .
towards my eternal home.
The rise of each crashing wave,
tests my faith once more
but, I’m determined to ride them out
till I land on heavens shore.
The raging swells I will fight,
I’ll not give up on Thee
for my soul is anchored to the One
with whom I am meant to be.
Every gust of the angry wind,
seeks to take me down
but, I will stand up to their wrath
till I receive victories crown.
Though the seas are troubled,
and have their sights out for me
I’ll endure each battering wave
for my sails Lord are set on Thee!
James 1:12
that endureth temptation:
for when he is tried,
he shall receive
the crown of life,
which the Lord hath promised
to them that love him.”
Lord, Take My Hand ~
Jesus, I admit defeat,
I relinquish all to You
take my hand Lord Jesus
do what only You can do.
A life without victory,
beaten down by all the loss
take my hand Lord Jesus
and lead me to Your Cross.
A heart that’s been broken,
beset by grief and pain
take my hand Lord Jesus
and lead me home again.
Restore to me my first love,
remove the stones You see
take my hand Lord Jesus
and guide me back to Thee.
Jesus, I do surrender,
my life is Yours to pursue
take my hand Lord Jesus
and bring me closer to You.
I commit my spirit:
thou hast redeemed me,
through each gust God is with me.
And when Satan comes along,
putting temptations in my way
I am sure and I am positive . . .
on the narrow path I will stay.
The earth may shake and quiver,
yet my faith in God will stand
for I am sure and I am positive . . .
nothing can snatch me out of His hand.
