2 Peter 3:9
Thank you Father,
for taking Your time
so You can call
“more people mine.”
Thank you Father,
for being slow
lest Your anger
we’d all know.
Thank You Father,
for not being slack
so Your lost sheep
may come back.
Thank You Father,
for being forgiving
when we repent
of ungodly living.
Thank You Father,
for Your desire . . .
not one should perish
in hell’s fire!
~~~~~
“ The Lord is not slack
concerning his promise,
as some men count slackness;
but is longsuffering
to us-ward,
not willing that any
should perish,
but that all should
come to repentance.
God is patient,
He has the time
to work out in us
the dirt and grime.
He uses His Word,
to cleanse within
so from our sins
we are forgiven.
God is unwearied,
He knows we’re blind
that’s why His Son
died for all mankind.
He desires not one,
of us to perish
each soul He loves
we all are cherished.
God is patient,
merciful too
He has the time . . .
what will you do?
God is long-suffering,
He would have not one perish
each soul He treasures
every heart He does cherish.
But, no one knows how long,
He’ll put out His invitation
to except His free Gift . . .
of eternal salvation.
Today, you may hear Him calling,
but, you’ve decided it could wait
never thinking for a moment
tomorrow may be too late.
Now is the time to listen,
now is the time to believe
that Jesus died for your sins
so His grace you can receive.
Through the power of His Spirit,
He will make all things new
In Him, you will find strength
unlike anything you ever knew.
So, don’t put off till tomorrow,
what you need to do today . . .
except God’s gift of salvation
right now without delay!
