“Blessed’s” From God ~
“Blessed’s” from God,
are all over the place
blessings filled with . . . .
His love and grace.
For the meek and humble,
those poor and the pure
are blessings of hope
to help you endure.
For the thirsty and hungry,
the peacemakers too
are blessings of mercy
God bestows onto you.
For those persecuted,
the ones who are steadfast
are blessings of peace
when with Jesus at last.
For the mournful,
those meek and merciful
are blessings of gladness
in rewards too joyful.
For the world’s rejected,
for His name sake . . .
is the blessing of life
with a heavenly fate.
“Blessed’s” from God,
thru the Bible they span
blessings imparted . . .
thru the Son of Man!
~~~~~~~~
Blessed are the poor in spirit:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn:
for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek:
for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do
hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful:
for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart:
for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers:
for they shall be called the
children of God.
Blessed are they which are
persecuted for righteousness’ sake:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall
revile you, and persecute you,
and shall say all manner of evil
against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad:
for great is your reward in heaven:
for so persecuted they the prophets
which were before you.
To Be Happy ~
To be happy,
we need to be poor
up in heaven
our treasures we’ll store.
To be happy,
we need to be mournful
over sin
we’ll be remorseful.
To be happy,
we need to be meek
God will be
the first One we seek.
To be happy,
we need to hunger
in God’s Word
we’ll want to linger.
To be happy,
we need to be thirsty
we need to put
Jesus firstly.
To be happy,
we need to be merciful
we’ll need to live
a life purposeful.
To be happy,
we need a pure heart
from God’s ways
we’ll not depart.
To be happy,
we need to be a peacemaker
we’ll need the Holy Spirit
as our icebreaker.
To be blessed,
we need to be these things
than we’ll be happy . . .
no matter what life brings!
If We’re to Be Meek ~
If we’re to be meek,
but, still be strong . . .
then we must believe
God won’t steer us wrong.
If we’re to be humble,
but, still be bold . . .
then we must let God
into our heart’s to mold.
If we’re to be poor,
but, still be wealthy
then we must remain . . .
to God’s ways healthy.
If we’re to be gentle,
but, still be confident . . .
then we must trust God
is always competent.
If were to be meek,
humble, poor and gentle
then we must live a life . . .
of faith, trust and self-denial!
The Poor In Spirit ~
Lord, make me poor in spirit,
let me see my own depravity
show me all my iniquities
my absolute spiritual poverty.
Give me the understanding,
to recognize my sinful condition
let me dwell on my wickedness
till I feel the sting of conviction.
Show me my lustful appetites,
the habits of selfishness
let me look upon my heart
till I see my own helplessness.
Let me see my sinfulness,
what’s not pleasant in Your sight
examine and judge me
for Your laws are always right.
Shut up in me Your loving grace,
lock up in me Your tender mercy
let me exercise my full obedience
till Your love flows out of me.
Lord, make me poor in spirit,
let me be, for You hard pressed
let me see my absolute poverty
so I may be ~ heaven blessed!
