My Spiritual Wants ~

My spiritual wants,
every day are met
over them I’ve no need
to worry or fret.

For when I’m hungry,
on the Word I feed
it supplies my soul
with the faith I need.

When I am thirsty,
I go to the water of Life
for it gives me hope
in the drought of strife.

When I’m famished,
I feed on God’s promise
not to ever leave
neither forsake us.

When I am dry,
to the living Fountain I go
knowing more grace
out of it will flow.

My spiritual wants,
are met everyday
for Jesus is my Life
my Truth and my Way!

John 6.35

Jesus said to them,
“I am the bread of life;
whoever comes to me
shall not hunger, and
whoever believes in me
shall never thirst.”

The Bread, Way, Truth and Life ~

the-bread-way-truth-and-life-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

As we gather,
on Thanksgiving Day
lets not make light
when our thanks we pray.

We need to be,
genuinely grateful
for all things
we must be truly thankful.

We need to express,
our thanksgiving
with praise and joy
sans any misgiving.

We need to thank,
our Father above
for sending His Son
out His pure love.

We need to express,
our joy and elation
for the freedoms
of our salvation.

We need to convey,
to God each day
our thanks for the Bread
the Truth, Life and Way!

~~~~~~~
John 6:35
“And Jesus said unto them,
I am the bread of life:
he that cometh to me shall
never hunger; and he that
believeth on me shall
never thirst.”
John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him,
I am the way, the truth,
and the life: no man cometh
unto the Father, but by me.”
Beautiful Savior
Beautiful Savior ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~
Beautiful Babe,
God’s precious Son
my heart and soul
You have won.
Beautiful Jesus,
Wonderful and True
I’m not the same
since I met You.
Beautiful Shepherd,
Light and Bread
I am so blessed
my heart You led.
Beautiful Savior,
Grace bestowed
the day Your love
for me flowed.
Beautiful Babe,
the world may reject
but my desire for You
it cannot deflect!
~~~~~~

 Isaiah 53:2

“For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant,
and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form
nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there
is no beauty that we should desire him.”

Come Dine with Me ~

the-word-was-made-flesh CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Come and dine with Me,
sit at my banquet table
come and feast on Me
let Me be your dining staple.

Come have a taste of Me,
My flesh is good for you to eat
come and let Me nourish you
for there is no better meat.

Come and drink of Me,
My blood will satisfy your thirst
come and let Me fill you up
come be in Me immersed.

Come and feed upon Me,
for I am the Bread of Life
come and sip from My cup
for I am the end to all strife.

Come and I will bless you,
let Me fill you with My grace
come and sit right next to Me
for in Me there is no disgrace.

Come all you who are hungry,
come all who thirst away . . .
let Me fill you with My mercy
on this My Resurrection Day!

John 6:56
King James Version

“He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh
my blood, dwelleth in me,and I in him.”

Trapped?

my-redeemer-livesC CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Are you feeling trapped,
caught in the devil’s snare
do you feel as if . . .
you’re not going anywhere?

Jesus can set you free,
He’s the Redeemer of your soul
the great Physician who came
to heal and make you whole.

Are you brokenhearted,
has life treated you unfair
are the burdens in your mind
just too much for you to bear?

Jesus can bring you comfort,
He is our good Samaritan
He will take away from you
the weariness of depression.

Are you parched and famished,
looking for so much more
though, in this world you’re rich
do you feel deprived and poor?

Jesus can satisfy all your needs,
for He is the Bread of Life
all those who come to Him
are no longer slaves to their strife.

Are you feeling trapped,
in need of a new destiny?
Then you need to come to Jesus
and claim your heavenly treasury!

Job 19:25
King James Version

“For I know that my redeemer liveth,
and that he shall stand
at the latter day upon the earth:”

What is The Bible ~

What is the Bible ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

The Bible is the breath of God,
profitable for teaching
it’s a reproof and a correction
to use for righteous training.

It’s the Living Word of God,
it makes us competent and able
it equips us for good works
keeping our lives in Him stable.

It is a lamp to our feet,
a light unto our path
when we choose to follow it
it will keep us from God’s wrath.

It’s to be used for mediation,
all our living nights and days
it is the Bread of Life
that shows us our evil ways.

It instructs us on endurance,
encourages us in the faithful race
it persuades us to continue
to seek and find God’s face.

It is living and it active,
it’s as sharp as a two edge sword
it pierces through the heart
so our souls can be restored.

It’s a wonder to the open eye,
out of the law comes salvation
it’s the pure spiritual milk
spilling forth God’s revelation.

It’s to be stored in our hearts,
it will keep us from sin
it’s to be used in our daily battles
so over the enemy we will win.

It will guard our hearts and minds,
it will keep us in perfect peace
and we should always keep  . . .
our Bible’s within close reach.

But, for some it sits on their shelf,
other’s shove it in a drawer
and most just don’t make the time
to read the Bible anymore!

Psalm 119:11
King James Version

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
that I might not sin against thee.”

Marc Minter

Jesus is the well of the living water, the Holy Spirit.

“It was the last and most important day of the Feast. Jesus stood up and spoke in a loud voice. He said, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Does anyone believe in me? Then, just as Scripture says, streams of living water will flow from inside him." When he said this, he meant the Holy Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus would receive the Spirit later. Up to that time, the Spirit had not been given. This was because Jesus had not yet received glory.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭7:37-39‬)
