The Truth Of My Youth~

My faith is simple,
I must admit
the truth I seek
within limits.

If in my Bible,
it’s not found
I know it’s not
Gospel sound.

I don’t believe,
all I hear . . .
for the truth
I do revere.

If God’s Word,
is slightly altered
I don’t accept
what is offered.

My faith is simple,
so is the truth
it’s still the same
as in my youth!

Psalm 71:5

“For thou art my hope,
O Lord God: thou art
my trust from my youth.”

A Thread of Hope ~

A thread of hope,
is all you need
for doubt and fear
not to breed.

For all it takes,
is one little strand
for God’s power
to be in your hand.

A thread of hope,
is all you need
for trust and faith
to be freed.

For all it asks,
is for you to believe
God’s mighty strength
you will receive.

A thread of hope,
is all you need
for faith to grow
from a mustard seed!

~~~~~~~~~
Matthew 17:20
“And Jesus said unto them,
Because of your unbelief:
for verily I say unto you,
If ye have faith as a grain
of mustard seed, ye shall say
unto this mountain,
Remove hence to yonder place;
and it shall remove;
and nothing shall be
impossible unto you.
Faith So Small ~
Faith as small,
as a tiny seed
is all the faith
at first you’ll need.
For what starts out,
as faith so little
Jesus’ will strengthen
so it’s not so brittle.
Faith as tiny,
as a grain of sand
is all the faith
you’ll need at hand.
For what starts out,
as faith so petite
will one day in Jesus
be made complete.
Faith that is little,
faith that is small
grows into greater faith
the more on Jesus you call!
~~~~~~

Matthew 17:20

“And Jesus said unto them,
Because of your unbelief:
for verily I say unto you,
If ye have faith as a grain
of mustard seed, ye shall
say unto this mountain,
Remove hence to yonder place;
and it shall remove;
and nothing shall be
impossible unto you.”

Mustard Seed Faith ~

Mustard Seed Faith ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~

Mustard seed faith,
is all you need . . .
but, for it to grow
it you must feed.

Milk is good,
if you’re a babe
but, soon your faith
will start to fade.

For it to rise,
it needs the meat
every day with Jesus
you need to meet.

If it’s to branch out,
it needs nourishment
for growing faith
takes encouragement.

Mustard seed faith,
is all you need . . .
but, the Good Book
you’ll have to read!

~~~~~~~~
Mark 4:31-32
“It is like a grain of mustard seed, which,
when it is sown in the earth, is less than
all the seeds that be in the earth:
But when it is sown, it groweth up,
and becometh greater than all herbs,
 and shooteth out great branches; so
that the fowls of the air may lodge
under the shadow of it.”
