Into The Light Of Day ~

When all around me,
is cold and bleak . . .
when I’m feeling frail
fragile and weak.

I pick up my Bible,
to warm up my soul
knowing it’s Words
my heart will console.

When all around me,
is dark and dim . . .
when I’m feeling faint
helpless and grim.

I read the Scriptures,
to Lighten my spirits
knowing they’ll give me
hope without limits.

When all around me,
is cold, dark and gray . . .
God’s Word turns the night
into the Light of day!

My Light Generator ~

A light unto my path,
a brighter day I’ll see
for Jesus is the beam . . .
shining inside of me.

A lamp unto my feet,
His ways for me to see
for Jesus is the glow . . .
radiating out of me.

A candle in my darkness,
a flicker of hope to see
for Jesus is the sparkle . . .
twinkling all around me.

A lantern to my soul,
a glimmer for all to see
for Jesus is the shimmer . . .
reflecting out of me.

A torch unto my heart,
a spark that I can see
for Jesus is the flame . . .
burning deep in me!

The Light Unto My Way ~

I tuck the Word into my heart,
then I go about my way . . .
knowing I can trust in God
to guide me through my day.

So I rise up before the sun,
to meditate and learn . . .
for, I desire that the Word
be the only lamp I burn.

I get such peace and hope,
as my Bible I read along
with each Scripture I study
I feel myself growing strong.

Before I start out the door,
I pray for God’s guidance
I wait until I can hear Him . . .
breaking through the silence.

for it renews me day-to-day
it goes with me wherever I go . . .
for it is the light unto my way!

will keep the devil away

will help restore and renew.

A Scripture thought,
will help when distraught
a Bible study plan
will lead and command.

A Verse a day,

a Word or two
will power you through.

A Scripture learned,
will help when concerned
a Bible nearby
will keep Jesus close by.

My Light Source ~

A light unto my path,
a perfect day I’ll see
for Jesus is the light beam
shining down on me.

A lamp unto my feet,
His ways I’ll always see
for Jesus is the glow
beaming out of me.

What is The Bible ~

The Bible is the breath of God,
profitable for teaching
it’s a reproof and a correction
to use for righteous training.

It’s the Living Word of God,
it makes us competent and able
it equips us for good works
keeping our lives in Him stable.

It is a lamp to our feet,
a light unto our path
when we choose to follow it
it will keep us from God’s wrath.

It’s to be used for mediation,
all our living nights and days
it is the Bread of Life
that shows us our evil ways.

It instructs us on endurance,
encourages us in the faithful race
it persuades us to continue
to seek and find God’s face.

It is living and it active,
it’s as sharp as a two edge sword
it pierces through the heart
so our souls can be restored.

It’s a wonder to the open eye,
out of the law comes salvation
it’s the pure spiritual milk
spilling forth God’s revelation.

It’s to be stored in our hearts,
it will keep us from sin
it’s to be used in our daily battles
so over the enemy we will win.

It will guard our hearts and minds,
it will keep us in perfect peace
and we should always keep  . . .
our Bible’s within close reach.

But, for some it sits on their shelf,
other’s shove it in a drawer
and most just don’t make the time
to read the Bible anymore!

In Your Light ~

Lord, Your Word is the lamp,
that guides us along the way
the Light in the darkness
that begins with each new day.

A purpose You have planned,
for every one of our steps
if only we would just believe
and follow Your concepts.

You know the path we must  take,
the way in which we should go
You have gone out before us
and the way You want to show.

Sometimes we talk the talk,
and we say we follow after You
but, if the truth were to be told
it is not always what we do.

For we are all born of sin,
and there is nothing we can do
the only way to walk the talk
is hand in hand with You.

I know alone we are nothing,
and we’ll surely lose our way
unless we rise in Your Light
and pray for guidance every day!

In Thy Light ~

Oh, how Your wonder,
will shine inside me
when these earthly eyes
get a glimpse of Thee.

The beauty of Your glory,
will blaze upon my face
in that very moment
I’ll see Your amazing grace.

For in Thy light,
I will finally be
and no more darkness
will these eyes have to see.

Your righteousness will glow,
like the dazzling of the sun
flooding the heavens
with the light of Your Son.

You are my shining Star,
the Lamp unto my feet
and in heaven’s eternity

This Walk of Faith ~

I walk the walk of faith,
hand in hand with my Lord
in my heart His Word
I’ve put away and stored.

I trust and I believe,
He’s always here with me
though at times it’s dark
His light helps me to see.

When I falter in my belief,
not sure of the way
I can rely on Him
to hear me when I pray.

I know He’s next to me,
I’m never all alone
even though there are times
when I feel I’m on my own.

This walk of faith is simple,
but sometimes I make it hard
when I take away the trust
my hopes get somewhat jarred.

I know I must be faithful,
to walk this walk with Him
for when there is not a doubt
His light won’t fade or dim!

The Light Unto My Path ~

I know having the truth in me
will take me through my day.

I get such joy and pleasure,
in every delightful saying
I can hear the Word’s of God
whenever I am praying.

I long to have study time,
to meditate and learn
for I desire that the Word
be the only lamp I burn.

Upon my lips I do savor,
every morsel that I’ve heard
to me there is not anything
more satisfying than the Word.
