Anchor Of Our Soul ~
An Anchor to the soul,
the hope of our certainty
Jesus became the way
to everlasting eternity.
Sure and steadfast,
in the truth grounded
our salvation in Him
is securely founded.
The veil has been lifted,
through Christ we enter in
in His righteousness
no longer bound to sin.
To His Father in heaven,
He gave us the boldness
to approach His throne
in the cloak of newness.
The Anchor of our soul,
Jesus is our security . . .
for He paid sin’s penalty
giving us all impunity!
~~~~~~~~~~
Which hope we have
as an anchor of the soul,
both sure and stedfast,
and which entereth into
that within the veil;
Lord, May I Too ~
Lord, give me a faith,
just the same as Yours . . .
so I may too cross the sea
and meet You where You are.
Give me an attitude,
absent of any doubt
so I may too trust You
from my boat to come out.
Lord, give me a faith,
steadfast and true
so I may too be brave
to cross over to You.
Give me a nature,
bold and unafraid
so I may too embrace
how not to be dismayed.
Lord, give me a faith
just like You profess . . .
so I may too my fears
in Your name suppress!
And in the fourth watch
of the night Jesus went
unto them, walking on the sea.
And when the disciples saw
him walking on the sea,
they were troubled, saying,
It is a spirit; and they cried
out for fear.
But straightway Jesus
spake unto them, saying,
Be of good cheer;
it is I; be not afraid.
And Peter answered
him and said, Lord,
if it be thou, bid me
come unto thee on the water.
And he said, Come.
And when Peter was
come down out of the ship,
he walked on the water,
to go to Jesus.
Here’s My Heart Lord ~
Here’s my heart Lord,
it’s covered in red . . .
reflecting the blood
for me You shed.
It once was a heart,
cold like a stone
but now it is one
that has been atoned.
Here’s my heart Lord,
it now belongs to You
I surrender it in whole
do what You must do.
It once had a mind,
clearly independent
but now it is one
genuinely repentant.
Here is my heart Lord,
I turn it over to You
so it You can restore
heal and renew!
~~~~~~~~~~
A new heart
also will I give you,
and a new spirit will
I put within you:
and I will take away
the stony heart out
of your flesh, and I will
give you an heart of flesh.

Captive Thoughts ~
Capture my thoughts Lord,
gird me in Thy truth
let me follow Thy Word
as in the days of my youth.
With childlike faith,
take custody of my mind
keep me close to Thee
so Thy ways I can find.
Control and restrain me,
release not me from Thy hold
may my heart for Thee
turn not luke-warm or cold.
Let me not be disillusioned,
by the wisdom of man
seize upon my belief
show me Thy perfect plan.
Capture my thoughts Lord,
in my mind be in control
I give to Thee my life . . .
let not man conquer my soul!

I am Thankful ~
Today I am thankful,
for my daily bread
for the Holy Spirit
by whom I am lead.
For the abundance,
of faith and grace
for Jesus’ strength
to stay in the race.
Today I am grateful,
to my Father above
for His tender mercy
His wondrous love.
For His Goodness,
all He provides
for the power
He daily supplies.
Lord, today I’m thankful,
oh, so grateful too . . .
for all You bless me with
for all ~ for me You do!

the Lord hath made;
we will rejoice and
be glad in it.

Have A Blessed Thanksgiving
#throwbackpoem
~ A Thankful, Grateful Heart ~
Lord, give me a thankful heart,
one that is appreciative . . .
one that to all Your blessings
is attuned and sensitive.
Let it be a heart,
that sings its daily praise
let it be my heartfelt gratitude
that to You I earnestly raise.
Let me have a heart,
truly thankful for all things
no matter what in my life
You should choose to bring
Let my heart flow with,
the rivers of Your peace
so my appreciation to You
I may continually release.
Lord, give me a thankful heart,
one that is steadily hopeful
let it be the heart of one . . .
who is to You truly grateful!
