If With Our Mouths?

If with our mouths we confess,
our faith in God above . . .
then why don’t we show others
unconditional love?

If with our mouths we declare,
Jesus is our salvation
then why with this world
do we still have a flirtation?

If with our mouths we admit,
we’ve been set free from sin
then why does Satan’s armies
still end up with the win?

If with our mouths we profess,
Jesus is the Lord of our life
then why do we still live
with discord, turmoil, and strife?

If with our mouths we assert,
we walk everyday with the Lord
then why in our hearts and minds
isn’t His Word carefully stored?

If with our own lips we worship,
and give honor to our King . . .
then why are we so detached
from the lyrics that we sing?

There’ll Be No Slobbering in Heaven!

For my dear friend in Jesus,
Gregory Lane, who has ALS . . .
You have touched my soul in so many ways.
Your faith and strength are amazing
and I feel so blessed to have met
you through blogging.
You have shown me His grace
in ways I never thought possible
and have given me a glimpse
into my future hope and glory!

They’ll be no slobbering up in heaven,
no drooling or dribbling dictation
the only thing that will be seeping
will be your praise to God for salvation.

There will be no Lou Gehrig Disease,
no more tears of frustration . . .
there will only be peace and joy
everlasting life ~ will be your elation.

They’ll be no damaged neurons,
no lack of muscle control
there will only be free movement
in your new glorified soul.

There’ll be no muscle cramping,
no twitching or dropping things
there will only be a trembling
that your reverence in Him brings.

There’ll be no more feeble legs,
no more being wheelchair bound
there will only be a leaping glee
knowing Jesus is always around.

They’ll be no feeding tube,
no more liquid-bland cuisines
for there is only fine dining . . .
when you’re with the King of Kings!
