Don’t Miss The Boat ~

I see the waters rising,
I sense a flood ahead . . .
and what I know is coming
fills me with fear and dread.

For, the times are evil,
just like in Noah’s days
and this generation’s sin
goes beyond just a phase.

I am preparing myself,
to get into the ark . . .
for this world is becoming

Our biggest adversary,
is our biggest accuser
for he is known to be . . .
a heart and mind abuser.

He is dangerously ruthless,
in his relentless pursuit
he is always searching for
the soul he can recruit.

for he sucked the faith
out of one time believers.

He is the ruling agent,
over all disobedience
for he is the architect

is the god of this age

The world as we know it,
one day will be no more . . .
all will be destroyed
with a thunderous roar.

Living apart from God,
are those in darkness
they can’t comprehend
their spiritual bleakness.

Choosing not to live,
in the Light of Life
not caring it’ll bring
with it eternal strife.

Separated from Jesus,
living in a fallen state
not seeing their rejection
is the seal to their fate.

Opting out of salvation,
declining His loving grace
not wanting to bother
running the faithful race.

There’s too many people,

A Love To Be Treasured ~

I once relied on people,
to bring to me pleasure
but they couldn’t convey
love that I could treasure.

For, their love was conditional,
it came at a steep cost
and now I can understand
why I was helplessly lost.

I thought if I set my sights,
on the things of this world
that everlasting happiness
I would be able to unfurl.

But, they soon corroded,
and all turned into rust
that is why it’s only God
in whom I now put my trust.

For His love is a love,
to truly be treasured
for it unconditional . . .
and cannot be measured!

I fight not against the bait,
that is placed upon the hook
but rather against satan who want’s
to keep me out of life’s book.

that the devil blasts at me.

but rather against the evil powers

God’s Escape Plan ~

Some say God won’t give us,
anything we can’t handle
but, if this was true . . .
with sin we’d never battle.

For, everyday we must fight,
the temptations that we see
and it’s the choices we make
that’ll either snare or set us free.

We know satan can be,
a manipulative charmer
and we must be prepared
by wearing our full armor.

Then when the devil attacks,
we’ll be able to take a stand
by giving him our resisting . . .
get out of here command.

I know one thing that is true,
if into temptation we fall
God has an escape plan . . .
when on His name we call!

The Ruler Of The Cosmos ~

Satan rules the cosmos,
the world is in His control
He has a firm grip on . . .
the heart of its very soul.

He tells us evil is justified,
by calling good deplorable
and those who follow Jesus

in places high and low
his wickedness one day
the whole universe will know.

aiming each day

Some people think,

about God’s salvation plan
for they think their destiny

Put On The Full Armor Of God ~

Everyday we need to put,
on our full armor
for to satan’s schemes
it is a disarmer.

Then we will be able,
to be strong and stand
no matter where his darts
of fire come to land.

Everyday we need to be,
ready to go off and battle
all the evil forces
with whom we must grapple.

For we fight against rulers,
powers of authority
who want’s us to become
apart of their evil majority.

Some people are stubborn,

have not been conditioned.

Today we are living,
in a world sin cursed
and each day it seems
it keeps on getting worse.

But, God sent His Son,
to put an end to . . .
the dark, evil things

in a sin riddled society
no longer is there . . .
a culture of godly piety.

But, Jesus can change,
hearts made of stone
for He lived and He died
so sin He could atone.

Good Intentions ~

They say the road to hell,
is paved with good intentions
of doing things people think
will help them get redemption.

But, this road they talk about,
is the one the Bible calls wide
and those who travel on it
often let pride be their guide.

not the cost to life and limb
that following Jesus brings.

For, the way to hell is crowded,
so many are in the race . . .
but, the only road to heaven
is paved though faith by grace.

A Fire In My Bones ~

I feel my bones,
they are hot with fire
sparking me to raise
my voice even higher.

For the flame inside,

I can see satan,

thinks it is good

it is hard not to feel
disgust and dismay.

The works of the flesh,
can clearly be seen
for in today’s world
its a everyday scene.

There is immorality,
of every type and kind
with new identities
for people to find.

The hatred is real,
gone is brotherly love
evil is sought after
more then God above.

Drugs have taken over,
souls they have ruined
so many on the street
are left abandoned.

Roaming on our streets,
be it night or day
angry people with guns

We live in pressurized world,
we’re always under stress
but, we who rely on God
onward strain and press.

We’re hassled on every side,
pushed around and shoved

know how much we are loved.

come crashing down on us
but, those of us who believe
always in God put their trust.

We’re fatigued over hearing,

he has my heart
jumping and bouncing.

He wants me to be,
restless and powerless
so that I will feel
desperate and defenseless.

Help me Lord,
for the enemy is lunging
he has my thoughts
plummeting and plunging.

He wants me to be,
hopeless and helpless
so that I will feel
useless and hapless.

Help me Lord,
for the enemy is seeking
to devour my faith
with his lies beseeching!
