Prepare your mind for action,
lest you be thunderstruck
and to satan you become
just another sitting duck.

Be ready to go to war,
for how and what you believe
for satan is always out to
fool, mislead and deceive.

Always be on your guard,
lest you be left aghast
for to satan you’re his prey
to be vexed and harassed.

Be sober and be alert,
practice having self-control
for satan is out to get
your faith, your trust, your soul.

Prepare your mind for action,
be sober, alert and aware
for once satan pounces
your heart he will ensnare!

Ready, Sober And Alert ~

This year I am going to be,
ready, sober and alert . . .
I’m not going to let anything
my trust in God to divert.

I will be ever watchful,
by keeping both my eyes
for Jesus in the clouds
descending in the skies.

This year I’m going to pray,
for the strength to escape
those who are trying to . . .
my faith in God reshape.

My ears will be listening,
for that trump to sound
so in the air with Jesus
I too will be found.

This year I’m going to be,
mindful of satan’s snare
so until Jesus comes . . .
I’ll remain alert and aware!

In every season,
we need to pray
for we do not know
the hour or the day.

We must be watchful,
keep our eyes steady
on the signs of the time
so we will be ready.

In every season,
we need to be praying
for we cannot tell
the time remaining.

We must be sober,
throughout the year
for Jesus at anytime
could suddenly appear.

In every season,
all day and all night
we must always pray
with all of our might!

God of The Living ~

God is the God of the living,
for those who are alive . . .
their hope, faith and trust
from Him they do derive.

God is the God of the awake,
for those who are aware . . .
their labor on this earth
will be rewarded elsewhere.

God is the God of the watchful,
for those who are vigilant . . .
their deeds will follow them
for they do remain diligent.

God is the God of the sober,
for those who are alert . . .
from worldly greed and lust
their eyes turn and divert.

God is the God of the living,
for we who think not He’s a whim . . .
He is the God of the dying
when we go home to be with Him!

Praying Ceaselessly ~

You need to be praying,
without ever stopping
because your enemy
is always out shopping.

Shopping for more souls,
he can trick and deceive
looking to destroy
how you trust and believe.

You need to hold fast,
for you are at war
and your enemy knows
always where you are.

He see inside your heart,
looks into your mind
to see if there’s doubt
in them for him to find.

You need to be on the alert,
your enemy is always preying
that’s why you need to be . . .
to Jesus ceaselessly praying!

Be Not Ignorant ~

Be not ignorant my friend,
lest you be deceived . . .
for satan wants to destroy
everything you believe.

He has designs for you,
he is after your soul
over your every thought
he wants to take control.

Be not naive my friend,
lest you be outwitted
for satan want to see you
to his ways submitted.

He has great plans for you,
your mind he wants to remold
over the eyes of your heart
he wants to place a blindfold.

Be not ignorant my friend,
be not naive or oblivious
for satan is known to be . . .
savage and ferocious!

Beware, My Friend, Beware~

There is a battle brewing,
we need to be clear-headed
we must fix our minds on Jesus
so by fear we’re not tormented.

Our adversary is like a lion,
he is looking to devour
our faith and trust in God
by zapping us of our power.

He’s roaming all-around,
he’s as hungry and he is fierce
he is a greedy pursuer
looking for souls he can pierce.

He is filling our minds with lies,
for he is the grand accuser
he is aiming at our hearts
for he is the great seducer.

He is malicious in his pursuit,
he stalks us night and day
he is restless in his hounding
he lets nothing get in his way.

Our purser is the devil himself,
and to him we must be aware . . .
we must be vigilant and sober
so beware, my friend. beware!

Trying Times~

Trying times follow,
times of sweet relief
they come to destroy
our trust and belief.

For satan knows so well,
when we are at rest . . .
it’s the opportune time
to launch his fiery tests.

Tying times follow,
times of peacefulness
they come to disrupt
in God our faithfulness.

For satan understands,
when we are tranquil
it’s his ideal time
our faith to mangle.

Trying times follow,
times of blissfulness
but we who remain sober
do so with steadfastness!

The Time Is Getting Short ~

The time is impending,
satan is working overtime
we need to be ready . . .
for Jesus could come anytime.

We need to be aware,
of the ticking of the clock
for the devil’s out prowling
to devour up His flock.

The time is approaching,
each day it’s getting clearer
the awaited return of Christ
is getting so much nearer.

We need to be prepared,
as the hours roll on by
for in a second we may see
that twinkling in our eye.

The time is getting short,
each day we’re getting closer
to when Jesus comes again
and we must remain sober!

Guarding your heart,
is a daily must . . .
and the Holy Spirit
you’ll need to trust.

For He’ll alert you to,
satan’s earthly snares
so to his tipsy bait
you will be aware.

Preparing your heart,
is a daily thing . . .
for you never know
the cares it’ll bring.

For a heart ready,
is a warrior sober
and to satan’s lures
it will not trip over.

is a daily to do . . .
for it may be the day
Jesus comes for you!

The Devil Knows ~

The devil knows,
just when to come around
he knows what to do
to shoot your faith down.

So he watches for signs,
of defeat and frustration
then fires his lies at you
to increase your vexation.

The devil knows,
your mind’s a minefield
he knows it’s his prime
spiritual battlefield.

So he looks for signals,
of apathy and weariness
then brings in his big guns
of despair and hopelessness.

The devil knows,
when the time is right
so be armed and ready . . .
to stand up and fight!

With Due Diligence ~

With due diligence,
we must stay alert
so that satan’s darts
we can safely avert.

For he is the master,
of many disguises
obscuring the truth
is his evil enterprise.

We must keep sober,
we must stay aware
so into satan’s traps
we won’t be snared.

For he is out to kill,
devour and destroy
anyone who doesn’t fall
for the lures he employs.

With due consideration,
we must be forever watchful
for satan distorts the light . . .
and we must remain careful!
