The Deceitful Heart ~

The deceitful heart,
thinks it is good
cannot relate . . .
to this falsehood.

For at its core,
wickedness lies
keeping it from
becoming wise.

The deceitful heart,
thinks it is greater
then the one . . .
who is its creator.

For it tells itself,
it knows better
by believing in
its own chatter.

The deceitful heart,
won’t give Jesus the reins
for pure evilness
runs through its veins!

The heart is deceitful
above all things,
and desperately wicked:
who can know it?

I the Lord search the heart,
I try the reins, even to give
every man according to his
ways, and according to the
fruit of his doings.
