Did You Smile Today ~

Did you smile today,
through you have trouble
or did you let fear
burst your happy bubble?

Did you laugh today,
did you go hehe
or did your cares
only cause you worry?

Did you grin today,
through your distress
or did your doubt
your joy suppress?

Did you giggle today,
did you let out a chuckle
or with having patience
did you struggle?

Did you smile today,
as your faith was tried
did you count it all for joy
even though not dry eyed?

when I need more strength.

Help me to be for You,
a willing able soul
so that my life You can
have complete control.

Give me patience Lord,
and endurance too
be there for me until . . .
the day I’m with You!

Perfected By God ~

Every day we are being,
patiently by God perfected . . .
and our attitudes so often
need to be corrected.

So He teaches us how,
like Jesus to be . . .
by taking us down
on our prideful knee.

Every day we are being,
patiently by God instructed
how our lives now
need to be conducted.

He want us to grasp onto,
the meaning of obedience
without giving Him any
lip-service or resistance.

Every day we get closer,
as into perfection we progress
but, God knows that it is . . .
for us a life-time process!

I’m patiently enduring,
this race I am in . . .
but, I’ll need staying power
if I’m going to win.

If I am to sustain,
then I will need to be
persistent in my faith
for things I can’t see.

I must be unwavering,
in my quest to find
the peace that guards
both the heart and mind.

I will need to be strong,
if I am going to outlast
the tests that come
with a trust steadfast.

I’m patently enduring,
the trials of this race
but, I know I can do it
for sufficient is His grace!
