Did You Smile Today ~

Did you smile today,
through you have trouble
or did you let fear
burst your happy bubble?

Did you laugh today,
did you go hehe
or did your cares
only cause you worry?

Did you grin today,
through your distress
or did your doubt
your joy suppress?

Did you giggle today,
did you let out a chuckle
or with having patience
did you struggle?

Did you smile today,
as your faith was tried
did you count it all for joy
even though not dry eyed?

Thankful And Grateful ~

There’s always a reason,
for us to be thankful . . .
there’s always a chance
to show we are grateful.

But, so often we are not,
appreciative for all things
especially when hardships
a brand new day brings.

It’s easier to complain,
to criticize and grumble
to shake our heads in disbelief
then to be meek and humble.

For, when things don’t go our way,
we blame God and we curse
not realizing our lack of trust
only makes our problems worse.

There are plenty of reasons,
for us to be grateful . . .
but, first we need to learn
in everything to be thankful!

Life Untroubled ~

Jesus never promised,
life would be easy . .
nor things would be
carefree and breezy.

Instead He said we’d have,
tests and tribulation
while living in this world
we’d undergo frustration.

Jesus never promised,
life on earth would be just
nor how its wicked ways
on us wouldn’t be thrust.

Instead He said as we made,
our earthly journey here
to claim in Him our victory
and to be of good cheer.

Jesus never promised,
life would be untroubled
He said He’d give us peace
so not to be befuddled!

God’s Hand Of Faithfulness ~

God’s hand of faithfulness,
can be seen in my life
though the times of rest
and those full of strife.

He held on to me,
with His merciful hand
as He revealed to me
what was for me His plan.

God’s hand of faithfulness,
led and guided me
through the days of peace
and those angry as a sea.

He wrote my name,
on His palm He inscribed
His promise to me
to always be at my side.

God’s hand of faithfulness,
has always been loyal
through the good times
throughout all my trials!
