A Joyful Heart ~

A joyful heart,
is a good thing . . .
when life’s hardships
begin to burn and sting.

It will lift you up,
when you are down
it’ll help you to mend
heal and rebound.

A joyful heart,
is a good feature
it is one of life’s
adversity teachers.

It will show you how,
to rejoice and sing
when tests and trials
to you life brings.

when you let praise

The Hands That Molded You ~

The hands that molded you,
will never let you fall . . .
they’ll always lift you up
when on them you call.

They will uphold you,
when you’re feeling weak
in love they’ll enfold you
when comfort you seek.

The hands that formed you,
are strong and steady
when trials come along
they’ll help you to be ready.

They will wrap around you,
in them courage you will find
they’ll defend and protect you
bring to you peace of mind.

The hands that molded you,

I’m patiently enduring,

Psalm 127:2

When Jesus Is All You Have ~

When all you have is anguish,
when there’s nothing more to do
and all of your pain and suffering
has taken the very best from you. 

When trials turn into desperation,
when they start to overburden you
and the pressure of your troubles
you can no longer alone get through.

When your misery turns to despair,
when you feel hopelessness inside
and another raging, internal storm
you don’t have the strength to ride.

When Jesus is all you have,
when you finally come to your knees
and you give Him all your hardships
you’ll find He will meet all your needs.

For Jesus is your burden bearer,
and He will never disappoint . . .
so cast your cares upon Him
before you reach your breaking point!

Consider it for joy,

consider when they do
it’s to make you strong.

endurance it will bring
so that your faith in God
will not lack anything.

consider to embrace them

perseverance it will bring
so that your trust in God

Life As A Sheep ~

Life as a sheep,
has its ups and downs . . .
laughter and smiles
sadness and frowns.

But, we follow Jesus,
no matter our mood
be it we are jubilant
or sad and subdued.

Life as a sheep,
has its highs and lows . . .
one day it may be sunny
the next one it could snow.

But, we trust Jesus,
wherever He may lead
be it in stormy weather
or warm pastures to feed.

Life as a sheep,
has its hills and dells . . .
but, we eagerly follow Jesus
to wherever it is He dwells!

Strength In Weakness ~

Weakness allows in us,
Jesus’ strength to flow
it makes us meek
so His power we’ll know.

It makes us proclaim,
when I’m weak I’m strong
it makes our faith firm
when trials come along.

Weakness allows in us,
Jesus’ grace to be
sufficient each day
for everything we need.

It helps us to endure,
the tests and the trials
for His grace is the key
to our spiritual vitals.

Our weakness keeps,
Jesus’ grace moving . . .
so His strength in us
can continue improving!

Pedal to the Metal ~

Sometimes God puts,
the pedal to the metal
He wants to see if we have
the fortitude or the mettle.

So He sends us situations,
to see how we’ll react
testing to see whether
our faith will stay intact.

Sometimes God puts,
speed traps in our day
to see if we’ll race off
or stay on the narrow way.

So He sends us warnings,
to see if Him we’ll obey
or if we’ll race by them
and not do as they say.

Sometimes God puts,
the pedal to the metal . . .
and sends to us obstacles
to see just where we’ll settle!
