A Joy Lift ~
Some Christians,
joy has been lost
their hope has become
as cold as frost.
Instead they see,
the world in disarray
and all of the chaos
leaves them in dismay.
Some Christians,
joy has slipped
their faith has been
a little torn and ripped.
Instead they’re caught up,
in the world with its cares
instead of in the One
who their burden’s will bear.
Some Christians,
need a joy filled lift . . .
by letting their eyes
back to Jesus drift!

of thy salvation; and uphold
me with thy free spirit.

Pressure Cooker Trust ~
Some Christians fold,
when under pressure
trials and tests
they cannot weather.
Their trust starts to fizzle,
when they are stressed
and they let off steam
whenever hard pressed.
Some Christians simmer,
when under tension
hardships and grief
only cause more friction.
Their faith begins to wane,
till it all but implodes
and from all of their cares
what is left just erodes.
Some Christian blow up,
when under pressure . . .
but, we who keep praying
have peace beyond measure!

Be careful for nothing;
but in every thing by prayer
and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests
be made known unto God.
And the peace of God,
which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.

In The Lamb’s Book Of Life ~
In the Lamb’s book of life,
my name will be written
for to the world’s ways . . .
I’ve quit being smitten.
For, I have been redeemed,
by the blood of my Savior
a gift from His Father . . .
due to His mercy and favor.
I’ve had a lot of trials,
my faith has been tested
but, in my Lord and King
my trust I’ve invested.
For, I’m an overcomer,
in Jesus I have victory
together we can avoid
satan’s slope slippery.
In the Lamb’s book of life,
is where my name will stay
nothing can erase it . . .
or cause it to fade away!

In My Lord’s House ~
I’ve been invited to sit,
at God’s dining table
His Word has become
for me a daily staple.
He has anointed me,
with the oils of joy
so my faith in Him
no one can destroy.
My cup runs over,
with His love it’s brimming
off of it His goodness
I’m constantly skimming.
His mercy follows me,
wherever I might go
for the rest of my life
I expect more to flow.
In my Lord’s house,
is where I’m going to dwell
for all of eternity . . .
and not just for a spell!

in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.

My Go-To Verse 1~
I have me a life verse,
I use it everyday
for I know it will lead me
along the righteous way.
It’s the one I prefer,
when I need direction
for it makes me look
at my own reflection.
It’s my go-to verse,
it’s tucked into my heart
I say it out loud
when my day I start.
It’s the one I cling to,
whenever I need to recall
why into the world’s ways
I can’t let myself fall.
I have me a life verse,
my mind it keeps renewing
for, God’s perfect will for me
is worth my daily pursuing!

The Reason for My Hope
I believe in God,
in all of His glorious creation
I believe He made the heavens
and the earth's foundation.I believe that man,
came from but dust
I believe it's God's image
He puts into all of us.I believe that Satan,
is the cause for our fallen state
I believe it's still his lies
he uses on us to trap and bait.I believe that man's heart,
has always been cold and callous
I believe it's full of deceit
filled with ungodly malice.I believe in Jesus,
God's only begotten Son
I believe He died and rose again
for the sins of everyone.I believe in redemption,
from our wicked, evil ways
I believe it's the blood of the Lamb
that washes our sins away.I believe in God's love,
I believe in His grace
I believe one day
God's judgement all will face.I believe in Heaven,
I also believe in hell . . .
I believe for eternity it's where
the unsaved will dwell.I believe in the hope,
Jesus imparts in me
I believe all can be saved
