Remain Steadfast ~

When under pressure,
steadfast remain . . .
then from temptation
you will abstain.

Then the crown of life,
you will surely win
for you stood the test
over besetting sin.

When you suffer,
rejoice in your hope
and God will give you
the grace to cope.

Then the character,
God wants in you to see
will be the one . . .
you’re not ashamed to be.

and you need assurance
ask Jesus to give you . . .
the faith of endurance!

Not Ashamed ~

I am not ashamed,
of the hope I hold
for it has rendered
my faith strong and bold.

For I’ve experienced,
test and trials galore
and grew in patience
amidst their uproar.

I am not ashamed,
of God’s love for me
for I am convinced
in what I cannot see.

For I’ve been through,
countless storms in life
and found the patience
to endure their strife.

I am not ashamed,
of placing in God my hope
for His Spirit gives to me . . .
the patience I need to cope!

Romans 5:3-5

We All Have Earthly Woes ~

We all have earthly battles,
all our nerves get rattled
but we who have true faith . . .
don’t become by fear shackled.

We all have earthly trials,
all our hearts get hurt
but we who Jesus know . . .
from the Light don’t divert.

We all have earthly tests,
all our minds get confused
but we who have His Spirit
to His guidance don’t refuse.

We all have earthy woes,
all our souls get bewildered
but we who in God trust . . .
know we will be delivered.

We all have earthly cares,
all believers get dismayed
but we who have eternal hope . . .
from the truth aren’t dissuaded!
