A Faith That Is Life Saving ~

A faith that is life saving,
is brimming with love
it reflects the image
of its creator above.
It walks in the light,
the darkness it shuns
on the narrow way
the faithful race it runs.
A faith that is true,
does what is right
it knows with the world
it is a daily fight.
It knows what is good,
it lives a life pure
it knows for its sins
Jesus is its only cure.
A faith that is life saving,
is full of love and grace
it will have victory . . .
when it finishes the race!

Examine yourselves,
whether ye be in the faith;
prove your own selves.
Know ye not your own selves,
how that Jesus Christ is in you,
except ye be reprobates?

Where The Holy Spirit Dwells ~

Sometimes down inside,
I feel this warmth within . . .
coming from a place so deep
I can’t explain just wherein.
There’s a sense of peace,
an inspired calmness
it fills my heart with joy
till it flows with gladness.
As I take it all in,
I feel a serene quietness
flooding my soul with . . .
a reassuring stillness.
I wish I could harness it,
so to always feel this way
I wish I could release it
every second of the day.
Sometimes way down deep,
a feeling rises up and swells
I know it comes from the place . . .
where the Holy Spirit dwells!

after that ye heard the word of truth,
the gospel of your salvation:
in whom also after that ye believed,
ye were sealed with that holy
Spirit of promise,”

Lord of My Life ~

Lord I want to make You. . .
the center of my soul
the beat in my heart
the peace in my mind
the truth in my ear
the breath in my mouth
the air I take in . . .
the hope that I feel
the light that I see
the strength inside of me
the song that I sing
the path that I walk
the faith in my step
the trust in my touch . . .
Lord, from dawns early light.
till the sun sets at night
I want to make you. . .
The Lord Of My Life!
~~~~~~
The Lord is my strength
and song, and is become
my salvation.
And he answering said,
Thou shalt love the Lord
thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul,
and with all thy strength,
and with all thy mind;
and thy neighbour as thyself.
Joyless ~
Sometimes in this life,
we find ourselves joyless
when everything seems
to be utterly hopeless.
We wish just like Job,
we were never born
we like David weep
long into the morn.
Sometimes in this life,
we feel utterly dejected
and our joy in the Lord
cannot be perfected.
But if we were to keep,
our heart and mind
focused on God’s love
joy again we will find.
Sometimes in this life,
we find ourselves joyless . . .
but, if we remain strong
we’ll never be hopeless!
~~~~~~~~
Why died I not from the womb?
why did I not give up the ghost
when I came out of the belly?
And I said, Oh that I had wings
like a dove! for then would I
fly away, and be at rest.
Lo, then would I wander far off,
and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
I would hasten my escape from
the windy storm and tempest.
For his anger endureth but a moment;
in his favour is life: weeping may endure
for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Die To Sin ~

Some people make grace,
look gaudy and cheap
they think to their sin
they can hold on and keep.
They are not willing,
to die to their sin . . .
they still think the race
of the faithful they’ll win.
Some people think grace,
comes to them at no cost
so they continue to sin
not thinking their still lost.
They are not convinced,
of their need to repent
for their transgressions
they don’t really regret.
Some people think grace,
to sin is an open door . . .
but, Jesus made it clear
to go and sin no more!
~~~~~~~~
What shall we say then?
Shall we continue in sin,
that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we,
that are dead to sin,
live any longer therein?
She said, No man, Lord.
And Jesus said unto her,
Neither do I condemn thee: go,
and sin no more.
