I Walk In The Spirit ~
I walk in the Spirit,
I look straight ahead
for it is by God . . .
that my feet are being led.
He tells me when to turn,
to the left or the right
He guides my path
with His Word and His Light.
I walk in the Spirit,
I leave the flesh behind
and let Him influence
the thoughts in my mind.
He tells me to produce,
all the good fruit
with the promise in me
they will take root.
I walk in the Spirit.
I let Him be in control
for I know He is . . .
the guardian of my soul!

and ye shall not fulfill
the lust of the flesh.

I’m Keeping On ~
I’m keeping on,
going for the goal
I’m pressing in
with all of my soul.
I am not stopping,
you won’t see me quit
for in God’s Word
I am staying fit.
I’m keeping on,
going for the prize
I’ve got heaven
sights in my eyes.
I am not leaving,
the narrow way
nothing will cause
me to go astray.
I’m keeping on,
nothing will stop me
until with Jesus . . .
I finally come to be!

The Source of My Happiness ~
God, You are my portion,
the source of my happiness
Your favor and Your grace
fills my heart with joyfulness.
Your love stirs my soul,
with hope and assurance
You give me the strength
to keep up my endurance.
God You are my portion,
my faith’s author . . .
everyday new mercies
to me You offer.
My heart is full,
of Your strength and power
my future inheritance
could come at any hour.
God You are my portion,
the source of my salvation
tis why my heart is full . . .
of hope’s eternal elation!

All Will Pass Away ~
The world as we know it,
one day will be no more . . .
all will be destroyed
with a thunderous roar.
It will come suddenly,
like a thief in the night
taking along with it
the sun’s and moon’s light.
With a deadly fire and heat,
it will all quickly melt away
even the stars in the sky
will no longer be on display.
It will all just burn up,
everything will disintegrate
no longer with wickedness
will it be able to accommodate.
The heaven and earth,
will one day pass away
but the Word of God . . .
will for all of eternity stay!

But the day of the Lord will come
as a thief in the night; in the which
the heavens shall pass away with
a great noise, and the elements
shall melt with fervent heat, the earth
also and the works that are therein
shall be burned up.

Needing A Refuge ~
Needing a refuge,
from all the oppression
getting sick and tired
of all the aggression.
Needing a safe harbor,
a place to escape
getting cranky and tired
of the changing landscape.
Needing a high tower,
where you can get away
getting worn-out and tired
of all the sin on display.
Needing a shelter,
from all that’s askew
getting weary and tired
of the new world’s view.
Needing a refuge,
where evil you can’t see
then My dear child . . .
focus your eyes on Me!

The Lord also will be a refuge
for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble.

The Reason for My Hope
I believe in God,
in all of His glorious creation
I believe He made the heavens
and the earth's foundation.I believe that man,
came from but dust
I believe it's God's image
He puts into all of us.I believe that Satan,
is the cause for our fallen state
I believe it's still his lies
he uses on us to trap and bait.I believe that man's heart,
has always been cold and callous
I believe it's full of deceit
filled with ungodly malice.I believe in Jesus,
God's only begotten Son
I believe He died and rose again
for the sins of everyone.I believe in redemption,
from our wicked, evil ways
I believe it's the blood of the Lamb
that washes our sins away.I believe in God's love,
I believe in His grace
I believe one day
God's judgement all will face.I believe in Heaven,
I also believe in hell . . .
I believe for eternity it's where
the unsaved will dwell.I believe in the hope,
Jesus imparts in me
I believe all can be saved
