Abiding On The Vine ~

If we are to remain,
abiding on the Vine
our life’s with Jesus
must intertwine.

If we are to abide,
in Jesus each day
we must be willing
to trust and obey.

If we are to stay,
connected to Him
we must allow Jesus
our branches to trim.

If we are to produce,
for Jesus good fruit
we must daily give
our ego’s a boot.

If we are to remain,
obey, produce and stay
then we must abide . . .
in His Word everyday.

John 15:5

“I am the vine,
ye are the branches:
He that abideth in me,
and I in him,
the same bringeth
forth much fruit:
for without me
ye can do nothing.”

Every Minute ~

~ CHRISTian poetry by deborahann ~ All You Need is Jesus- IBible Verses

I’ve come to the understanding,
by myself, I am too weak
unless every minute . . .
God’s strength I daily seek.

I’ve come to the opinion,
by myself, I’m hopelessly poor
unless every minute . . .
I open to Jesus, my heart’s door.

I’ve come to the realization,
by myself, I am no good
unless every minute . . .
I let God do, what He should.

I’ve come to the belief,
by myself, I’m but dross
unless every minute . . .
I pick up my own cross.

I’ve come to the deduction,
by myself, I am just dust
unless every minute . . .
God does in me, what He must.

I’ve come to the conclusion,
by myself, I’m not anything
unless every minute . . .
I make Jesus, my everything!

Fruit Off The Vine ~

I am the Vine used with premission from Doorpost Verses on Facebook

I can do nothing without God,
even though He knows I try
but, when I sow on my own
I’m usually left high and dry.

There’s not one thing I can do,
that will last or succeed
for without God’s directions
all my seeds turn into weeds.

I may think I can do it,
for my plans seem so right
but without God’s assistance
there’s always a spiritual fight.

I can do nothing without God,
but, when to His will I resign
I can harvest all of the fruit
right off His one True Vine!

King James Version

He that abideth in me, and I in him,
the same bringeth forth much fruit:
for without me ye can do nothing.

His List ~

I am the Vine used with premission from Doorpost Verses on Facebook

When I wake up in the morning,
before I get out of bed . . .
the plans I’ve made for the day
start dancing in my head.

Do this, do that, and this-that too,
the list goes on and on
the plans I’ve made for the day
begin with the crack of dawn.

Before I arise and get moving,
to do all that I have to do
I reach for my Bible to see if God . . .
has any plans for me too.

As I read through the verses,
my head starts shaking
for all that I have to do . . .
are not of His making.

I put my Bible down,
toss the covers off my bed
I give God my list of this and that
and do what’s on His list instead!

the same bringeth
forth much fruit:
for without me ye can do nothing.”
