God Is Greater ~

God is greater,
than satan is . . .
He protects those
who He calls His.

He gives His wisdom,
so we can pick out
the lies satan tells
without any doubt.

God is greater,
than he who deceives
He gives discernment
to those who believe.

He shows us how,
to make satan flee
by helping us to be
temptation free.

God is greater,
than satan thinks
for at sin . . .
God no longer winks!

Spiritual Eyes ~

When you are given,
spiritual eyes . . .
you will keep them
on the prize.

For eyes focused,
on what isn’t clear
are eyes that know
Jesus’ return is near.

When you are given,
eyes that believe
true understanding
they will receive.

For eyes devoted,
to the Life and Way
are eyes to the Truth
always willing to stay.

When you have eyes,
spiritually discerning
to the world ways . . .
they’ll not be conforming!

If We Were to Listen ~

If we were to listen,
and to really hear . . .
more often than not
we’d give others our ear.

We would let them say,
all they needed too
before we gave them
our own pointed view.

If we were slower,
with our observations
with others we’d have
much better relations.

We would think about,
what they have said
discern for ourselves
if they’re spirit lead.

If we’re to hold back,
our bursts of anger . . .
our tongues we’d need
in this verse to anchor!
