Troubled waters lie ahead,
blinding wind and foam
but my heart is set to sail
right into my eternal home.
Every crashing wave,
tests my faith once more
but I will ride each one out
till I reach heaven’s shore.
The swells rise and fall,
causing me to be fearsome
but I will fight them off
till I enter God’s kingdom.
Each burst of angry wind,
seeks to take me down
but I’ll stand up to its rage
till I wear victory’s crown.
My troubles keep mounting,
but they’ll not take over me
for, Jesus will calm the waters
till together ~ we can be!
~~~~~~~~~~~
““And he arose,
and rebuked the wind,
and said unto the sea,
Peace, be still.
And the wind ceased,
and there was a great calm.”
This reminds me of the poem I wrote called “still Waters” and it’s a reminder that in this chaotic world, our peace is found in Jesus. Beautiful poem, I’m new to poetry but I love poems that express love for Jesus.
