I fight not with flesh and blood,
for what can man do to me?
I fight against the evil powers
and principalities, I can’t see.
My battle’s with Satan’s army,
their deceptiveness and cruelty
my soul they torture night and day
in hopes of a spiritual mutiny.
There’s no cease-fire I can declare,
they are relentless in their attack
they come at me from all sides
I constantly need to watch my back.
Though they assault me without end,
my victory is clear, it’s right ahead
for in God’s strength, with His power
my fight is being, Holy Spirit lead.
I shall not fall, or fail, or flail,
for I have God on my side . . .
we won the battle, we’ve won the war
the day for me ~ Jesus died!
King James Version
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Deborah Ann Belka
