Lord, how wonderful is Your compassion,
that You would notice all my fears
how tender is Your undying love
that You’ve numbered all my tears.
My tears are like a treasure,
to You when they fall
for when I’m in need of comfort
it’s on Your name that I call.
You know of my past afflictions,
You’ve seen my seasons of drought
You watched as I have struggled
when with You I had my doubt.
And though I have strayed,
my heart always belonged to You
it’s because of Your great love
my wanderings weren’t accrued.
Lord, how wonderful You are,
for being with me all these years
how tender for me is Your mercy
as You gather up my repentant tears!

put thou my tears into thy bottle:
are they not in thy book?”
