Sometimes I have to wonder,
if God wears a big old frown
if He mumbles and grumbles
as He drives from town to town.
If He wakes up drained and tired,
if He complains throughout the day
if He gets perturbed and frustrated
when things don’t go His way.
I wonder if He gets angry,
if He gets just plain annoyed
if He is more than a little agitated
and He feels a joyless, hopeless void.
If He needs His own space,
if He wants to be left all alone
If He wishes no one would visit Him
or call Him on the phone.
I only wonder these things . . .
because as His child ~ I should be
an imitator of His love . . .
but that’s not what others always see!

King James Version
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law”
